Ht. 5'7", Wt. 243 - but what if u can't do a crunch. i mean when i do crunches it makes my back hurt, knees hurts, thighs hurt, and butt hurt.....if it didnt make me hurt so bad i would do crunches. so is there a way to do crunches without all the pain? help me with this please!!!

Reply from Beth, Age 14 - 02/18/06 - IP#: 84.69.74.xxx You don;t necessarily HAVE to do crunchies, there are alternatives, lifting weights. A good one also is to lie down flat on your back and slowly raise your loeges without bending them, this helps tone your stomach muscles in the same way.
