Ht. 5ft 8-9 inches, Wt. 168 - Ok, my weight is open to all but just incase I am 5ft 8-9 inches and 168 lbs. I am a 32 waist and male. I want to lose 10 pounds and maybe a lil more to get to the mid to high 150lb region. I weighed 175 lbs 2 weeks ago, but I started my weight loss plan and I am curious what you think. See I used to be a heavy fast food eater, and I am trying to learn how to eat well while not pigging out. My friends invite me to lunch every other day at A&W/KFC, or Jack in the Box. I don't want to be alone at lunch so I go with them. I used to eat like a large frie, a medium shake, a large ass burger. But now I eat a small frie, a water, and a jr burger or two snakers (it is a tiny tiny thing at KFC). For breakfeast I grab an apple and water and that usually fills me up. For dinner, I will eat mostly grilled chicken with vegetables and a small serving of mashed potatoes. I drink a lot of water and so on and so fourth. The total amout of calories consumed for me in one day is like 1500-1700. I run for 30-40 minutes in the morning, and I do farm work for my family for on school days an hour a day and on non school days 3-4 hours. I dieted before, but I only had healthy, bad tasting food, and so when I got off the diet, in a years time I gained some weight back. But now I am learning from my mistakes and so I am learning to eat in moderation and including daily excircise. So I am curious for a guy, is 5ft 8-9 inches and 168 overweight, average, or what? Since I do farm work so I think I might have a lil muscle, since I told my friend my weight and she was surprised I was 168 lbs, she thought I was leighter. And also is my weight loss plan good, or needs improvement. Since I don't want to lose weight... well I do, but I don't want to go on the yo yo diet cycle since it is a bitch. I was 170 lbs 3 years ago, 5ft 4-5 inches and I dropped down to 130. But I didn't have my post weight loss well. So I want to learn to be heatly and live a life of moderation, for I don't have to diet again.

You're not really that overweight. Good job with your diet though.

I would just say yeah with your lifestyle its great. Especially how you seem to be drinking alot of water, but if you want to be healthy for you, and not how you look, you might want to stay away from the fast food a little more. Maybe if its possible take your lunch? of course like you said if you dont plan on doing it for years and years to come theres no point, cause youll gain it all back. So yeah if cutting down your portions, excersizing, and drinking as much water is you do, what you plan on doing for the rest of your life, its really good! congratulations :D

You sound like you are doing a pretty good job. You've lost like 7 pounds in 2 weeks & that's awesome. My advice is to just keep up what your doing... it sounds like you're living a life of moderation to me.
This is off subject but what state do you live in? I love the country... I'm not a big fan of the work though. :P
