Ht. 5'1", Start: 204 lb, Today: 134 lb (BMI: 25), Goal: 115 lb - So I'm still training for the Thanksgiving 5k this year. I've increased the distance that I walk/jog, but I'm not really feeling my stamina building. When I run, I'm still going the same speed and I can do about the same distance before I have to walk for a bit. The only thing I'm noticing is that I start to catch my breath more quickly when I'm walking so there's less time between my walk:run ratio.
Does anyone have any tips on what I can do to help better my time (I'd like to make it a 30min. 5k)/increase stamina?
Hope all's well with everyone!

1st i would like to say congrats on your weight loss! 204 to 134 amazing your soo close to you goal :)
and for stamina building all i know is that you have to keep practicing but with each day do a minute more of running or jogging instead of walking.

Every now and then try running as fast as you can for a certain amount, than decrease your speed and then run as fast as you can before walking. Also try biking, it will help build up leg strength.
