I came to this site in March of 2002 and I really wanted to loose weight. I weighed 169 and now it is July and I weigh almost 140. All I did was cut down on fatty foods, late night snacks, and I exercised. Drinking a lot of water worked too because it kinda feels you up. Don't worry if you lost a little weight and doesn't look like it to you but trust me others will see it. Just stay positive about yourself and the diet and you will be shedding pounds in no time. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

I have maintained my weight of 118 lbs. for the past 2 years. I didnt diet, and I didnt excercise every second of the day. I would still eat a chocolate sundae fir desert, but with every meal ( except brreakfast) I would make sure that I had a veggie, a fruit, and milk. I excercised every day, but every day, it was different. One day a walk, one day rollerblading, sometimes dancing, and sometimes jogging. Also, make sure you have a positive attitude. From Rachel, Age 16, female - 07/02/02 - IP#: 216.154.0.xxx hi everyone! last year, i dieted by starving myself and lost lots of weight. but i gained them all back by binging on foods that i didn't eat when i was on diet. i just got serious about losing weight 1 week ago. i lift weight 2 times a week and exercise for 30 minutes on either treadmill or stairclimber for 4 or 5 days a week. i also try to play with my little brother wh likes to be active all the time and jump on trampoline just for fun.i have vegetables, fruit, an egg, and a toast for breakfast. for lunch, i eat whatever what my family eats. for dinner, i eat whatever my mom cooks. if we go out for lunch or dinner, i try to eat a little fatty foods like fries. also, i drink lots of water. i have lost one pound in a week. i hope i'll keep this up. good luck everyone!

When I got out of school I was 5'6 and 155 lbs. all of my friends were skinny or in shape. I decided I needed to lose weight, but my problem was that I am like my dad big boned so i have always been overweight or not skinny. One day when i was flipping through channels and I came across a fitness show that was on and so i decided i should try this maybe it would work for me. Then about 1 week later i went on vacation I came back and i weighed 160lbs. I decided i need a change. I have been on this exercise program for 3 weeks and since i have come back from vacation i have lost 10lbs. in 9 days. I went from 160 to 150lbs. i am still about 10 to 13 pounds away from my goal of 140lbs. My food intake has dropped a whole lot. The secret was WATER, and smaller portions of food - I eat the same amount as my 3yr old son, instead of eating as much as his daddy, and I swim 4 times a week. Go for it, the rewards are a better looking, fitter, healthier you.

I used to weigh 162 lbs i did this by sticing to a 500calorie diet no carbs and lots of proteins fruits an veggies and not eating after 6:00 p.m. I drank lot's of water and if i was hungry I ate ice cubes it's true. I have lost about 8 lbs since. I used to weight 190 lbs OMG!lol. Anyways i eat 3 meals a day and snacks in between. Healthy foods that is. And i walk off about 500 to 600 calories a day. I walk on my tredmill about 3 or 4 times a day. I only drink water now, but i have a diet soda every once in a while or something ya know. Anyways hope my story helped. I went to a doctor on May 2. Buy june 2 i had lost 9 lbs! TOday , it is june 19. I weighed myself and I am 123. That's 14 lbs. When I started out I was 137. My goal is about 114 to 116. You can do it too. Eat no junk food, drink water no mlik, and eat TONS of veggies and fruits and exercise at least 30 min. a day. Good Luck to everyone and believe in yourselves then you can do it!

I ate better, meaning I stopped drinking soda and eating potato chips, candy, and cookies. I began drinking water and eating healthier. In my senior year in high school I actually ran for the track team! Now, i weigh about 145 pounds and have a nice 6-pack!! Just believe in yourself, and use the summer wisely.
