I was just reading over all your guy's messages, and I think it's great that we all want to help one another. But I think a lot of you are missing a major point. To loose weight, it takes a lifetime commitment. Once you get down to your goal weight, you have to work just as hard as you did to get there to maintain what you've accomplished. A lot of people just slack off, so make sure that when you go on a diet, you make sure it's not too hard for you, because most likely, your going to be doing it for the rest of your life. Oh, and a reply to the message about the skinny girls in the magazines, I definately know how that feels, I'm a red head with freckles (five foot one, and a size 13), but you know what, those girls are picked to represent a product because they are irregular, not because they represent the majority of the population which is over about a size 16 (women). I think it's great that some girls can be skinny naturally, but I'm naturally curvy, and I intend not to conform to anybody's idea of the "perfect woman" as long as I am healthy and feel good about myself. I hope you will consider that also. Good luck to all of you. (view less)

I should have put this on my last post, but I really want to thank Stephanie, Brandon, Jennifer, Michelle, and Allisa for replying to my old post. Stephanie, you should really read what they wrote. And thanks to you guys, for the past three days, I've held back my cravings, done more excersize, and truly not been as hungry. It's different, but I'm really happy. Thanks again! Anyone need help or if they want someone to lose weight with email me at Roo5spoons@aol.com!

This may sound incredibly stupid, but if you're watching tv or listening to the radio, jog around your sofa or coffee table. Don't run or else you can't turn the edges very well. Also after dinner go for a jog around your block. If your block is small, run around two. You'll be tired but proud when you get back.

Hi everyone,i'm posting this because i'm concerned (sorry can't spell) about my friend Kelly, she's 14 like me,5"1 like me, but she weighs over 300lbs. But i don't think she cares as she doesn't care what she eats. I don't know how to tell her that i worry, she might take it the wrong way. But she does weigh herself (when she feels she's lost weight even though she's not on a diet), i have to help her because she cannot see the scales. 2 weeks ago she weighed 327.Everyone makes fun of her at school and i think it hurts me more than her. Please help me.

Hey! You know im not the skinniest girl in school, nor the biggest but still have gotten names called, (im 15 147lbs.) anyways! i heard a quote which is awesome! "no one can make you feel inferior without your consent" for the younger crowd that means no one can make you feel down or bad without your willing to listen or take it in! Dont let people get to you..you are beautiful and handsome no matter how big or small you are!!!!!

Hey! My name is Whitney. I'm 5'7" and weigh 180lbs. I'm just starting a diet so I don't have a sucess story yet, but I know I will. This is my plan: Drinking lots of water, eating at least 3 fruits or veggies a day,or basically watch what I eat alot more, and exercising at least every other day. Well I know its only a plan but I'm gonna make that plan reality. If anyone has any more tips or wants to give me some words of encoragement e-mail me at GlitterBabe750@aol.com

Hey everyone! I just wanted to say that the best thing in the world just happened to me!! I was at my cousins and this hot guy named Eddie was with us. He said he thought that I was hot even though I am not skinny!! I was so happy. That just shows me that even if you are not as skinny as the girl next to you, your still beautiful!! Never give up!!!!! Luv KATE

Ok, about people saying that you should have just soup or salad. Sticking to one type of food is VERY UNHEALTHY. try eating five small meals throughout the day instead of 3, also, go home and eat throughout a normal day and count all the calories, then subtract 750 calories from that, if you eat that much its great for weight loss. and you should also eat a meal instead of snacks, have a sandwich(not peanut butter and jelly!, but ham cheese lettuce tamoto) and a glass of water, lots of water, the multiple meal thing speeds up your motabilism and you get energy throughout the hole day istead of 3 huge gulps of energy, because why would you wanted a 3rd of the days energy before you went to bed? also, go outside! eat afterschool, then play basketball, go swimming, or stay home and do pushups and situps inbeetween commercial breaks, a good work out is the key. And dont stop when your about to get tired stop working out when you cant go on, at all!!!!! Thats the key to success, its hard but it works!!!!! GOOD :LUCK

if you go on a diet your body will adjust to it and as soon as you quite the diet you will gain wieght really really fast, so thats why i preech the 5 meal plan, and lots of excersice that way you can eat great food and get healthy and not gain when the diet quites cause you wont want the diet to quit
