I have done this for 2 years and I was bullied for being fat since I was 4. Oh and don't eat any desert. (If you NEED desert have a fruit salad with low fat yoghurt). My old one was a typo!!! I have always been a bit chubby-not fat or really "overweight" but bigger than most girls in my grade. I'm considered to be a healthy weight right now, but I'm near the top oh BMI charts and things like that. Plus I'm a bit fat (size 14-16 in kids or extra small in women's), so I want to keep losing. Yes, I've only lost about four pounds but I'm working very hard to get in shape, not just to become skinny. And with these changes I am losing a little weight each day and I feel a lot better. What I've done is simply tried to cut everything unhealthy from my diet as a first step. I've never really enjoyed soda, so drinking only water wasn't a huge challenge. I'm avoiding candy, cake, popcorn, and things like that as much as I can. And if I do eat it, I don't take a lot. I don't have second servings of things... (view more)Hi!! I'm avoiding candy, cake, popcorn, and things like that as much as I can. And if I do eat it, I don't take a lot. I don't have second servings of things unless I'm honestly very hungry. I've changed my bread for sandwiches at lunch from white to wheat and stopped using mayonnaise and any other dressings. Also, I always eat breakfast now, usually fruit or yogurt. My next step is going to be to start exercising more. My goal is to run/jog on the treadmill at a speed of 4-6 for between 30 minutes and an hour. I hope to do this about five times a week, in addition to sit-ups, squats and such about 3 times a week. And finally, my biggest challenge is going to be to get more sleep because most people in my family are night-owls and always have been one. But I'm going to work hard to reach a goal weight of approximately 100 pounds by June. I'm already happy for the little bit of progress I've made and I hope to stay motivated to continue. Good luck to every one else who is a similar situation, and congratulations to those who have accomplished their goals!! (view less)

Calorie counting apps to stay aware of what all I was eating, and at least 30 minutes of cardio a day! My usual choice was the elliptical, but sometimes to switch it up, I'd dance or go for a long walk if the weather was nice. Plus, in the evenings with my family, I'd do pushups, stretches, lift little hand weights and stuff like that during the commercial breaks of whatever we were watching. Keep pushing, guys, it's totally doable!!

I could not keep up with anybody, I weighed as much as my friends who were 6 foot 3, and i was only 5 foot 6. Also, my brother could eat whatever he wanted and weighed 55 lbs less than me. My gym class was awful, and i knew i had to prove the kids in there wrong. So, I lost 40 lbs and ended up at 128. I gained 23 of it back in the fall, but in the past 6 weeks i have lost 18 lbs. My goal is to get back under 130, and it will be done within the next month. I can now fit into 28 jeans, back from the 34 that I wore. If anyone needs help, message me, as i would love to help others who struggled like me.

First I started by drinking more water. I bought a 24 oz cup with a lid from walmart and I just drank and drank and drank. Also every time I filled it up I squeezed a lemon into it to alkalize my blood stream (wash out any toxins or junk). I still ate normal food but I didn't eat as much. When I ate cereal I measured the serving sizes and did that with just about everything. I stopped going back for seconds and I stopped whenever I was content (not full). Eventually my mother and I started walking 5 miles a day. The way that I stayed motivated was by getting two of my friends to walk everyday with me after school and that kept me going. The way that I stayed motivated was by getting two of my friends to walk everyday with me after school and that kept me going. Once summer came, it became too hot to walk outside (I live in the South) and we had to by a gym membership. I started taking kick boxing classes there, running on the tread mill, and swimming 30 laps a day sometimes bc there is a pool there. By then I had lost about 15 lbs but my diet was still not the best. I ate a lot of junk and would often binge eat because I didn't like how I looked. I came to a weight loss platau and I knew it was time to change my diet as well. I stopped eating anything that was processed and stopped drinking soda. No more pizza rolls, hot pockets, popcorn, candy, or dr. pepper(I love dr. pepper) I stopped eating white grains, only wheat, and I cut out all red meats. The only meat I was eating was like salmon and chicken and sometimes turkey. I dropped even more weight right away. Again after doing the same thing for so long I stopped losing weight so I changed even more of my diet and became a vegan. I actually enjoy it a lot but not everyone has to do this to lose weight. I could've just intensified my workouts or just waited it out and I still would've gotten to my goal but I had been thinking about becoming a vegan so now I am. I don't eat and meat at all and I don't eat any dairy. For lunch today I ate 4 cups of sauted string beans and they were delicious. SO yea I hope this inspires you. I still am not where I want to be but ive come a long way. I'd to lose about 15 more lbs but I'm trusting in God and I believe in myself. I also believe in you and I know that you can become healthy and lose the weight! (view less)

My freshman year the coach had approached me about playing but I didn’t want to the end of my sophomore year I approached the coach and said: I think it’s time I join the team. The coach said: well it’s about time son. He told me I had to I had to have a 1.9 GPA to play. I Said: No Problem! I went to study sessions in the morning and after school to raise my grades. I had to get up at 6:00 A.m. to arrive at school at 7:00 to meet with teachers. I was nervous at first but I got up the courage to go speak to my Spanish teacher. I walked in early Mr. Oberder said: Good morning Sterling what can I do for you? I walked up to his desk and said: I’m here to raise my grade in your class. He looked happy and surprised at the same time. He said: Well I’m glad you’re here, have a seat. We talked a while before school started. I also began conditioning with the football team. After several long months of working out night and day I began losing weight. When I started out lifting weights I couldn’t bench 95 pounds, for a person weighing almost 500 pounds not lifting close to your body weight is horrible. After a few months into it by the end of the summer I could lift 205 and I weighed 350. For the first time in my life, I felt good about the direction my life was going. I didn’t feel like an outcast. So many people were so very supportive of me and my goal to lose weight. My heart was set on making something out of myself that I could be proud of. I was eligible for football for the first time in my high school career. The first day of school my junior year, I arrived more excited than I ever been. The first football game of the season was played the week prior. That game was very challenging and heartfelt, emotion was running high that night. I was pumped it was my first and last game as a senior in high school. We fought hard as a team, did some good things and also made some mistakes. As a final result we pulled out with a big Victory against Parma Normandy. As I walked the halls of Kenmore, I was 50 pounds lighter, and I knew I had contributed in the win against Parma. My teachers and peers were proud of me for the changes I was making. I learned to love school I was now making the Honor role. I was working hard in classes and felt very comfortable with which I was becoming I lost a total of 100 pounds during the football season and was driven to join the wrestling team in the winter of my junior year. My weight prevented me from competition, but I continued to work as a member of the team losing weight so I would be able to contribute as a senior. As my junior year of high school was drawing to end, I was 180 pounds lighter than the year before and I was able to maintain a 3.5 GPA for the entire school year. As a senior, I was able to continue losing weight. I contributed more on the defensive side of the football team and counted myself as a role model and leader. As a wrestler, I was able to compete in the heavy weight division, weighing 270 pounds. Although I've already lost 220 pounds and I aim to lose more, (view less)
