YOU have the power to recreate your life in the most amazing ways. On the last day of 7th grade I weighed 181.5 pounds. I loved to eat so much. Panera was my weakness. I would always go in an get a whole sandwich, chips, soup, bread, soda, and cookies. I put an end to that. I have recreated my life and have so far lost 26 pounds, but I did take 5 school months off, to maintain but eat what I want. My goal is to lose another 20 pounds in a month using the SCARSDALE diet. It may seem hard, but anyone, and I mean ANYONE can lose up to 10 pounds in A WEEK on it! The diet works, you just need to make it work. Every person is so beautiful. My mother told me today that I am still in the process of blooming into a beautiful flower. DO NOT GIVE UP! Believe me, there are days where I just want to... Believe me, there are days where I just want to break down and give up, and to have Chinese Lo Mein or Olive Garden Pasta. Then I think of how I really want to look and feel, and push through it. Please, for me, do not give up. Sure, there will be many tears and screams, but in the end, each and every tear is so worth the amazing body you will have. I love all of you so much and wish each and every one of you the best and most gracious weight loss journey<3 (view less)

Still not at my goal weight of 125, but slowly and surely working towards it! I make a weekly meal plan and repeat it for four weeks (or one month) and during that month I create NEXT month's meal plan that I will follow for a month, and so on. Also, you really do have to drink 8 glasses of water a day, and not small glasses, either. I mean 64 oz. of water a DAY! It fills you up really fast so I almost never feel hungry. The basics are: exercise, don't eat sugar/ drink soda, drink LOTS of water, and be proud your new body!

Around my 8th grade year, I was extremely overweight, I usually binged on fried food, cake, ice cream, any thing that had that "feel good" taste to it. Although, not long after I consumed those foods, I felt guilty about eating them. One day out of sheer curiosity I stepped on the scale to see what the number said. To my shock, I was only five pounds under 300lbs. I was deathly afraid for my health, and knew that something had to give. I started exercising, slowly at first. Walking around town every single night, making sure I sweat because my motto was "your not exercising, until you sweat" lol, but anyways, I eventually worked my way down to 265lbs where I hovered for about a year. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't lose any more weight! I had already lost 30lbs, but I wanted to lose more. It did not occur to me ... (view more)Hi, I'm Noah and I'm a fifteen. It did not occur to me until June 2011 that I needed to change my eating habits. Going out and exercising is fine and dandy, but you can't be doing that and then coming home to a deep fried chicken n' french fry dinner. So I started to cook for myself, a George Foreman grill was my choice device. Very versitile, I cook meats on it, grill sandwhiches, grill vegetables. I started to watch what I ate, I cut out ALL sweets, fried food, FAST FOODS, etc. Whenever I wasn't up to cooking for the night, I usually just ate either a grilled turkey and cheese sandwhich w/ two rice cakes and some veggies or pop in a Michelina's Lean Gourmet frozen dinner. It took me from Jan. 2010 up until Feb. 2012 to get to my goal weight of 160lbs. Then I lost a little bit more to get under goal, just to have a little wiggle room. I feel better than I ever have, i have so much more energy to go out and run, play sports or just perform better in P.E. class. But you have to remember once you get to goal weight that the journey never really ends. You have to "maintain" your weight. Moderation and portion sizes are also key to successfully loosing weight. For EXAMPLE: Yes, that bag of trail mix at the check out isle only has 150 calories per serving, but did you see how many servings are in that little bag? 4 servings. So you take 150 x 4 to get 600 calories for the whole bag of trail mix. Now lets be realisitic, who is going to split that handheld bag of trail mix into 4 servings? When i was overweight, i didn't! Another example, a bottle of coke from the vending machine will say 150 calories on it. But that's only for an 8fl oz. serving. The bottle has 2 servings, so the 150 calorie bottle of soda you thought you were getting instantly turns into 300. Realistically speaking, nobody only downs half a bottle of soda. Loosing weight is not impossible! It can be done! If you ever need any help, or just want to talk about it, please, feel free to email me at noah.dospoy@yahoo.com ; (view less)

I never looked horribly obese once I hit seventh grade but always had a round face and belly fat that I hated. Just before my thirteenth birthday I weighed myself, disgusted to realize I was 184 lbs. Pretty soon I'd be 200, if I kept gaining each year! I was ashamed and tired of being the third fattest girl in class, so I bought the book "The Diet for Teenagers Only." I didn't follow the tracking religiously but the information was so powerful and changed my way of life and taught me how to shop and eat smartly. I used Weight Watchers to track Points for a while, and while that worked great I don't have the money right now to continue the program, being in college; so, I've just been trying to aim for healthy food... I used Weight Watchers to track Points for a while, and while that worked great I don't have the money right now to continue the program, being in college; so, I've just been trying to aim for healthy food groups and just track what I eat in a little log. Just from changing my eating habits and starting yoga and Pilates (not even a full gymn workout) I lost about 20 lbs over several years, with many setbacks and weight re-gained. Since college I've been indulging only moderately on weekends and walking around campus and just trying to eat healthily so I've lost a little more. It took 5 years to lose almost 30 lbs so I did it slowly and now I want to lose 10 more pounds and then just tone up. I don't mind being curvy and my doctor said I should be between 140-150 lbs but I wanna shape up my thighs (which I've always hated most) and trim a few inches off my gut. It's taken me a long time but I DID and YOU CAN TOO! Believe me ladies, I've had my share of family troubles ans all sorts of crud and you can make it through and transform yourself gradually, physically and mentally. You can become stronger. <3 (view less)

Ever since I was young, I was somewhat chubby due to poor eating habits. When I entered 8th grade, I decided to pursue my lvoe for swimming by joining a swim team. I didnt change my eating habits at all, but i eneded up dropping to 125. I was happy and out of my previous depression. When i entered high shcool, i joined the cross country team and now i am doing track. I tried eating healthy but this didnt really happen and i ended upo dropping to 119. I have recently decided that it was a nessecity for me to eat healthy so now i am working my way to get a more fit body. I have never been happier than i am now.
