All my life I have said that I would never disrespect my body by gaining the weight I have now.Everything falls apart okay. People make fun of the weight I gained. There is this one guy named Joseph makes fun of me.I need help. Lost, Ally

It's not a fad and it's magnificent and I've been following it since October 2005 when I felt totally and utterly hopeless. As far as exercise is concerned, well I'm at that stage where now i have food under control for the most part but I'm trying to add in workouts. I have P.E. once a week and our gym teacher's a hard-care kickboxer, so I do lots of drills and classic gym workouts (jumping jacks, squats, push-ups, etc.) so when I do things at home I try to do something twice a week. My favs are my Weight Watchers cardio/strength training DVD, Pilates, yoga, and dancing! Whenever I can I try to do this local drop-in salsa class at this academy down the street. Also, doing more of little things totally helps. Take the stairs, walk, do squats while brushing your teeth, etc. And when I feel like a treat and, I'm only allowed to eat sweets twice a week. This is so not as scary as it sounds, and eventually it becomes fun and you love to watch you BMI drop and your pants get too baggy. :0) Good luck all! (view less)

I hope it's not water weight or anything and hopefully I've broken my 5 month plateau! I'm more determined than ever now. This week I stayed in my doc's guidelines of only two sweets and I was able to get in at least 2 fruits and veggies per day!!! Yesterday my legs were super sore and my abs have been sore too, so I think that if I keep it up I'll be able to loose another 2 or 3 inches and 6 lbs by graduation!

(the whole time the teacher is oblivious! i know. the teacher just sits there all the time playing with his chest hairs. gross i know!) Anyway, then Brady ran over to the other side of the classroom were his two friends were and started laughing and copying the vocabulary words down. Laura started to get up and walk over, but I held her back and said "No. This loser's gone too far." See, I am NOT the kind of person to let people do things like that to my friends. So I walked over to Brady and was like "Hey dumb*** give the paper back!" And he was like "No b****!" Then I kicked him in the shin and grabbed the paper. A few mintues later, he came back to the computer me and my friends were at and was like "Hey losers give me the paper back." then Erica was like "No bonehead, why dont you go play football with your so called friends." Then Laura was like "Yeah, get a life moron!" Then I was like "Stop being such a jerk and leave us alone!" Then he said to me "Well you're fat and ugly." and then I was like "Well your a bitch and d***face!" Then before we could say anything else, the afternoon announcements came on, and we had to go. But it makes me so mad, because guys are just always having to point it out, and I'm just like "Yeah whatever I realize I'm big, but you dont have to be so immature about it!" Why cant they except me for me? I mean we come in diff. shapes and sizes! (view less)

I try and try, and nothing works. Then, I'm afraid what people will think when I lose weight! Like for example, last year there was this girl at my school who was really big, like 170lb., then she came back to 7th grade this year with a super small waist weighing 115lb. People made fun of her and would ask her things like "Hey fattie! You trying to fit in with us healthy people?!" Waht if I do lose weight, and people say that to me?

I weighed in at 166.4 and I also tried on a bunch of dress clothes that I hadn't worn in ages. Some stuff still won't fit but it's getting easier to slip into. I bought a really hot black shirt last year and a pretty black skirt, size XL and 16. Well now I'm wedging between a 12 and 14 in sizes so the skirt definitely was too big. The shirt actually fit well, nice slender lines and everything. I also tried on a dress I hadn't worn since i was 10lbs heavier back in April, and I'm starting to look better. I even saw a few photos of myself from last year and I was shocked! My face had been so puffy and I looked a lot more inflated! Just remember that sometimes you don't realize how far you've come!

Please please PLEASE don't do this or any other fad diet, "natural" or "herbal" or "detox" diet aid, or anything else like that! I have a friend who was really overweight and by the next school year (3 months later) she had starved away 80lbs! Now she really doesn't eat that much and I'm sure she doesn't eat balanced, nutritional foods when she does because she basically just didn't eat at all before. It's a stupid idea, and now this girl has totally changed her personality and we're not even friends anymore. Do it the ONLY, healthy way!
