Ht. 5.6, Wt. 175 - Hey everyone! It's been a while since I posted here, and the last time I did, I was saying how I felt like I was wasting my time, and that I didn't notice any difference in my size after a month of dieting. Well, I thought I'd post here today with a little sucess story, and how I did it. It may not seem like a big victory, but it gave me a real boost I needed to keep going. OK, so I tried on my old school skirt at the end of July (I was going back to school in September and wanted to see if it fit). It was FAR too small; it took 5 attempts to close the button, it was really clingy and I could barely walk in it, and the front of it rode away up. It was then I realised I needed to diet. My mum bought me a bigger skirt for September, but I still thought it was terrible I couldn't fit into my skirt. I tried on ... (view more)Ht. I tried on that old skirt last week, after 1.5 months of dieting, and it fits! It's actually a bit big! I couldn't believe it; it prooved to me that what I was doing was actually making a difference. Here's what I was (and still am) eating: BREAKFAST: Bowl of cereal (either Corn Flakes, Special K or Cheerios. Sometimes I might have ayoghurt or a bowl of fruit for a change if I feel like it). SNACK: Special K Chocolate Chip Bar or an Apple, or a portion of Weight Watchers Toffee Cookies. LUNCH: Healthy Living wrap, filled with sweetcorn, chicken (or bacon) and a little low fat cheese. SNACK: Sometimes when I get home from school, I'll feel hungry, and have a pot of sugar free jelly. DINNER: Usually whatever my mum makes; beans, mixed vegetables, chicken or whatever. I also have some Weight Watchers ready meals, although I only eat 1 or 2 per week. I also never take any type of sauce or gravy with Sunday dinner, cut out all junk food and drink a lot of water. I don't have time to exercise now, what with school and all, but I seem to be doing OK. I should add that I'm not good all the time; on Saturday evenings, I cut loose and eat bad stuff. I'll eat my usual good food all day, but then maybe have a bag of crisps at night or 2 cereal bars. I hope this has helped someone and remember: DON'T give up! Even if it feels like nothing is getting better, or if you slip up for a few days, get back on track. You'll get into the habit of eating right and you'll not even want loads of junk food if you just stay with it long enough. Extra tip: get a big chunk of chocolate, or a small chocolate bar, and freeze it to eat, say, on a Friday night. It'll take forever to eat, so you won't crave more! Also, if you can, ask your parents if you could order your food shopping online and get it delivered; you'll be less likely to buy junk, as everything isn't placed out on the shelves for you to see. It's also easy to find healthy food by searching for it. Good luck! Feel free to ask questions or to give me any tips you think would be good. (view less)

Ht. 5'7, Wt. 160ish - Ok i have a major problem, i used to be really dedicated to losing weight and i loved when it when i was because with each pound i lost i felt that i was feeling better and looking better. For the past year i've gained 25 pounds which i lost 2 years ago and when i get back on track i lose like 5 pounds then i go off of my diet again and i'm right back to where i started and it really sucks. I get home earlier from school because i have a spare at the end of the day so i come home and i eat, but thats not my only problem, i do not to bad on the week days but once the weekends come i totally lose it and go crazy on eating ice cream and cookies, chips, u name it i eat it. I was wondering what all of you do on the weekends to stay on ur diet and not go overboard?? Like when i go out to a reaturant with my friends or to a friends house i can't help but stuff my face. If any of u have suggestions that will help me not go all crazy on the weekends because i can't have junk food that would greatly be appreciated.

Ht. 5'3", Wt. 165 - im 13 and i REALLY want to lose weight.one of my biggest pet peeves is when designer clothes size things so that if you have a 32 inch waist, your are and XXL. that makes me feel SO bad about myself because i have a 37 inch waist. this is my main motivation to drop the pounds. my doctor also makes me feel bad about myself because he told me that it may take me 3 years to drop a mere 20 pounds.but im continuing to try. hopefully by the time summer starts, i will be able to look hott in a bikini :)
