what is the signifigance of trans fat..like ...how can i incorperate that into my diet like...what shud i look out for and so on? does it really make a dif if something is like 0 trans fat but 11 grams of fat ... does it make the food less worse?

i just done 5 mins of steping up and down on a stair. ouch! im sweating like a pig! my heart is like pounding... (any1 who thinks 5 mins of stepping aint hard try it!) anywayz laterz!!!!

HEY i've looked everywhere for calories in knoephle soup but i can't find it!!! i had a bowl from dairy queen the other day but im not sure if it was fatty or not, it was good though1! its liek dumplings , chicken, potatos, celery, carrots, but im nto sure if it was really a cream broth or not! if anyone knows that'd be awesome.THANKS!

i think i did good today! but i cant tell..because i feel realy full..and i dono if that's bad..but id ont think i ate that bad! breakfast-bowl of cheerios, lunch-crackers, cheese, ham lunchable and an orange. snack-banana, dinner-ramen noodles, half of a sausage, "dessert"-strawberries and blueberries. I had basketball practice for 2 hours (we didtn run that much, but we did alot of drills) and i jumproped for 20 mins..did i do okay? even though i feel really full from the strawberries and blueberries??

I am doing a project for school and i have a few questions. If anyone would like to answer them to help me out please do. Several teens in the Us are overweight, why do you think is a problem? When you workout are you working out for a specifi reason such as to lose weight or just to stay fit? Do you think it is necessary to eat healthy? If you were designing a weight control program what would you include? Thanks so much to anyone who answers these questions you will be a great help!!

What do you guys think about all the popular diets out there? Like The Zone, South Beach and Atkins? I am thinking about going on the Zone next summer because i cant do it right now because I am at a boarding school. Theres no way you can eat healthy over here. Imagine eating ALL of your meals in the school dining hall! The food is really good, it's not all yucky or disgusting or anything but its not really healthy. Any advise?

You know one thing I can't stand?? When people who are overweight don't try to do anything about it, do you guys know who im talking about? I thinks its great that people have great self confidence, and don't care what people think of them if they are overweight, but its not just that. I don't think we should be telling teens its okay to be overweight, not because they look bad, but because they are putting themselved at risk for so many health problems and diseases! Who else agrees with me, i mean, I Really don't think teens should say, hey, im overweight, but thats okay... because then they don't do anything about it. We need to get the issue out there that being overweight is not a good thing- its not in any way about looks, but about health! anyone else agree?? (ps, don't get mad at me, im overweight too and im trying to be healthy)

I am so glad that this site is here for teens who all a have one thing in common...A struggle w/their wieght. This site has already deeply inspired me. As of 2 day I took a big step by begining to watch my wieght and everything that goes into my mouth. I just had to get the courage to start watching what I eat..again. I'm planing on drinking LOTS of water to help fill me up along w/smaller portions w/o the side junk (Fries,chips,candy...). The only thing that is an obstecal for me now is making time to exersice. I have a very busy after school schedual and have a heavy load of work for school. So does anyone have any advice to what I can to to make more time 2 exercise? Thanks much LOTS of LOVE, Ash!

how flat is a stomach supposed to be? like ahould it be flatter than the hip bones? should it be even with the ribs or in more? or is it supposed to be sort of round?

ok well i used to be 145 pounds, and i'm 5'1, and then i went down to 119, and this year im already back at 130, but i've joined the track team, and my goal is about 7 more pounds. heres the thing: YOU HAVE TO LOSE THE WEIGHT FOR YOURSELF. forget about your family, forget about boyfriends and girlfriends, forget about friends. DO IT FOR YOURSELF. you can not CAN NOT lose weight if you are not in the right state of mind, and if you don't have the motivation. i'm telling you right now, I WILL LOSE 7 pounds. maybe not for a couple weeks-BUT I WILL. i will not cheat, i will not splurge, i will not stop my diet UNTIL I HAVE REACHED MY GOAL. with every pound i lose, i will be proud of myself, and every day i maintain my weight i will be happy. you guys cant keep putting yourself down!
