I am very impressed by all of your efforts to become slimmer and healthier people. I feel bad for you young ones that are dealing with the teasing. You all seem like really great people inside. In the end you must all realize that you are very special. I think it all comes down to being comfortable. Dont base what you look like on the media. Instead of comparing yourselves to all the supermodels, research on how inaccurately the media portrays women and how a lot of you are actually average and just fine for your age.

hi everyone. i was feeling really bad about myself and my weight one day. ive tried many diets and stuff but i could never hold to them. so one day i just got out and went for a nice long walk. that was about 7 weeks ago. i have walked the same route every day and started to eat healthier. so far i have lost 13 pounds. i would like to loose another 13. i am almost 5 foot 9 inches and as of now i weigh 153 pounds (i started out as 166 pounds.) i wish you all sucsess with what you are doing!!

I had an idea on how to lose weight. If you live about 5 miles from school and you walked home from school every day (not in the morning, yet)After you can get home in like 15 mins. without getting tired or out of breath. i want to see if i can lose weight and if so how long it will take to lose 20-40 pounds. I will be eating healthy, drinking water, and spending less time on tv and internet by joining clubs,sports, and me and a couple of my friends want to start a band (and if you dont look good most people wont think your as good and hopefully it will further inspire us to be fit. We want to perform the original candy song by bow wow wow for the talent show in may so we will have 9 monthes to lose weight (i want to lose 30-40 pounds by then. is that reasonable, you know weight vs. time) Luv & Luck Jamie

actually..i think im 5'3 i tried measuring myself and it went to 5'3 but im not sure im doing it right when my parents come home ill ask them to do it properly and ill tell you what it really is but if i am what i mesured my bmi is 24.8 thats still ok i right??..

When i first posted this nobody replied and I hope sum body replies. I think it's awful to segragate people. I mean just because we are over weight doesn't give anyone the right to tease me.My cousin had a magic show and he was pretending to throw knives at me( they were darts) and sum 1 asked if it wood hurt and the said oh no Blubber butt has enough blubber to cover a whale so she can coushin herself. Losing weight is almost like a simple math problem. Take your weight and multiply it by 13. The result is the number of calories you need to MAINTAIN your current weight. If you want to LOSE weight you are going to have to cut about 500 calories off that amount. And exercise to burn more calories also if you want to lose more weight and look better.
