I really need an answer here, all my friends and family think im really thin, but I always feel like i have alot of "blubber" and alot of adult size pants don't fit me, but they fit my older sister. Do u think I should try this program? Or will it be unhealthy for me, as im in puberty?

A lot of you are doing very unhealthy things to your bodys. Not eating, not enough nearly enough, thinking about binging and purging. That's really retarded. I am 5ft 2 and at my highest weight I weighed 220lbs and was a snug US size 18/20. Through changing my diet and exercise I've lost just over 40lbs in 5 months, most of that in the past 2 1/2-3 motnhs. Yes, I still want to lose more weight, but I know how to do it healthily. Also, do any of you realize you are changing your LIFESTYLE. When you lose however much weight you want to lose (5lbs...10lbs..100lbs) you will not be able to suddenly eat all the pizza and ice cream you want and sit around all day. Yes, I do believe that most obesity is caused by laziness. Oh, and I do have a glandular problem, it's called hypothyroidism. While it can make weight loss very difficult while not on medicine, it did not suddenly make me become 100 lbs overweight. It only takes a little bit of change to lose weight. Cut out the ice cream (only eat fatfree frozen yogurt) fast food and red meat and walk just a little bit a few times a week. You will notice a change. Also, unless your doctor says you need to lose weight (ask him/her), don't worry about yourself. Hello everyone, I am over 9 stone and I look about 8 stone in my clothes I want to now if its overweight or if its average I have been trying to diet and it has worked a bit I started on monday and I have lost um... oh ueah only 1 pound but I suppose I have to be strong to do this even though in the summer I go shopping a lot and I am so tempted by chocolate!

How come everybody here seems to think the only reason you can be overweight is overeating? There can be other reasons too. I have been skinny and active all my life till i got a kidney disease not to long ago. that gave me fluid retentiton. an dthen i had to take a very high dose of prednisone for a two months. I'm still on it. I started gaining weight on it. and the last time I went to the doctor their height/weight chart said i was about 30 pounds overweight already in this short peroid of time. The doctor said my "moonface" will eventually slim down after i'm off the steroid. i know that fluid retention will go away easy but fat is harder to get rid of. and i have to admit prednisone makes me hungry all the time. and if i try to skip meals or snacks i get horrible cramps. my dovtor said that was normal for the dose i'm taking. is their anything i can do to prevent myself from overeating? so when i'm off this can go to my normal weight. I take dance lesons reguraly.

Hi. This is my first time on this site. I need help bad. I have been fat for 6 or 7 years now. I am 4'10 and weigh a huge 400 pounds. This makes me feel so sad and unhappy. So I eat. And I mean eat. When I get really unhappy I can eat 2 x-large pizzas myself. My stretche marks line my body. I have a donut sized belly butten. I need specially made cloths. I tried to find cloths at normal stores but they didn't fit. 2 years ago I was at a friend's house swimming. I put my new swim suit on and the seems exploded the seconde I bent over. I just feel so bad. Please help me. I need all the help and comments I can get.

Everybody: I am sorta disapointed in this group of people that are on this board. I was here when it all started and people truly wanted to lose weight the right way. Not a quick fix like Anorexia, bulimia or just eating a scoop of rice a day. It has been 6 months since I started to lose weight. I have lost about 12lbs. But while I was losing that weight, I realized something more important, if you pay attention to your body you can learn a lot about yourself and it is VERY empowering. If you are shallow enough to think that you need to have to fit in a size one and won't eat until you do even if your a size 13. I feel sorry for you. Don't get me wrong, I still want to lose weight like everyone else here, but not at the cost of my own life. If eating an apple a day is your thing then go ahead, But remember that when your 60 or 70 and can hardly walk because you didn't get enough calcium ... HI, i wrote a message up here a while back about a support group. i would like every1 to consider joining. we'll have meetings. it's no big comitment, but it'll be fun. you'll make tons of new friends and we'll help you loose weight. another person i know from here and i are starting it. so far the meetings are mondays @ 6pm. i'm not sure i'll be able to make it. we might change it if more ppl can make it at another time. i suggested @ 4, but not every1 could make it. we are still working out the details. at the meetings we'll discuss loosing weight, and hopefully we will set every1 up with a buddy. we are going to get the buddy system going. i've lost weight and i know what i'm talking about. if you wanna join i'd myself and my friend would love you to join. we want all the ppl we can get. like i said it's not a big comitment. i have tons of tips. if you wanna join let me know at blondie_one2007@yahoo.com. please don't send pictures or attachments, but please let me know if you wanna join also.

Starving to death is NOT pretty, it is an UGLY and painful death. Starved bodies ache all the time, the skin bruises, the muscles cramp and deteriorate, the brain slows and slurs. (There is nothing glamorous about that), the bones splinter, hurt and break. The body is constantly weak and cant sleep restfully (why? because your body thinks it needs to stay up and find food.) the mouth dries, the eyes fog (some ppl will go blind from starving), the heart beats hard and painfully, and there can be many scary moments prior to actual death where the body feels so sick and like it's dying (Because it is). And for you bulimics...Bulimia is life threatening every time you purge. Most bulimics die over a toilet bowl, and most die in the act of purging, and are found unconscious next to the tooilet. You know this cause you feel your own heart racinng each time you make yourself purge. The sudden change in electrolyte balance can stop the heart from beating. The truth is that if you are willing to Die to look a certain way you have something more complicated going on and this is when it becomes a "Disorder".......There ought to be Internal Mirrors instead of External ones. I've been reading a couple posts about binging and purging..and guys just DON'T DO IT. It's so bad for your body AND your mind. My friend was bulimic for 2 years and started doing it at 10 years old. She is very unhealthy and because she is still recovering she can't do alot of things because her bones are weak. Bulimia is not the answer guys! You don't have to make yourself throw up to be thin! Like they say, nothing comes easy. Weight loss is a long process and if you work at it you'll succeed. Not to mention binging and purging will make you sad and depressed. But eating healthy and exercising will make you happy. And make sure that if you know someone who has an Eating Disorder you talk to them. Or if you think YOU have one, talk to your parents and get some counselling QUICK! EDs can destroy your life. They nearly destroyed one of my best friends. Good luck everyone...

My name is Samantha and i did a thing on this before, but i never put my hight or weight on there. I also didn't talk much about myself. I am 5'6'' and i weigh 153. I have lost about 23 pounds in the past month and a half or a little less. So i am happy about that. But i am wanting to loose more and more so i can be skinny. Well skinnier. Well i am on the no eating diet like is said before, and it's working for me, well for now at least. Well i guess that's all about me. GOOD LUCK ALL OF YOU.
