I hated when the boys in my class would snicker when I walked past. My weight loss started in may 2011 when I decided to stop eating junk food and after losing a few kilos I realised how much better I felt!! So I became vegetarian ,only drank water or coffee and had 1 serving of a carb a day!! I exersice everyday and feel horrible when I don't!! My goal weight is 50 kilos! Wish me luck! (Note: 156 cm, 56 kg is 5'1", 123 lb.)

I can run and exersise but to be honest i hated it, in the middle of this January, 2013, i decided i wanted to loose weight before next school year starts. i exersised every day for about an hour, and ate 3-4 healthy meals a day. by the end of january i lost 7 pounds. I still have alot more to go, my goal is 150 pounds by at least august.

After my decade-long struggle to lose weight, I can hardly believe that I have reached my goal, and am completely satisfied with my weight. I remember being afraid to weigh myself in the 5th grade, and dedicating ever summer in middle school. Each year I failed, and finally got up to my heaviest at 188. How did I lose the weight? It's simple, I followed these rules: 1. NEVER, EVER buy anything you can't resist. If you know you'll eat the whole bag in one sitting, don't buy it. It's easier to have 10 minutes of willpower in the grocery store than hours of willpower not to eat the treat when sitting home all day. 2. Consider an eating schedule: Breakfast, 2 hours later a snack, 2 hours more have lunch, 3 hours later, dinner, 2 hours later snack. It builds willpower, and then you can maybe go a bit longer... Consider an eating schedule: Breakfast, 2 hours later a snack, 2 hours more have lunch, 3 hours later, dinner, 2 hours later snack. It builds willpower, and then you can maybe go a bit longer between meals and snacks once you can control your snacking. 3. If you have to stop at the gas station for a snack, get a breakfast bar or something. Don't give in and get the bag of chips. Once you avoid chips and cookies for a week or so, it WILL become easier. 4. Weigh yourself! You. Need. A Scale. I'm not saying do it everyday, but seeing the weight come off will give you more encouragement than anything else. When you see the pounds coming off, you won't want to risk gaining it back and you will keep up the good habits. 5. Know that you can still eat yummy foods. I love bread and pasta, I just eat whole grain. I love cheese, but I eat less and go fat-free. I like sweets, so I eat a lot of pineapples and grapes. I like bacon, so I eat turkey bacon. I like ice cream, so I eat frozen yogurt. I still DON'T like carrots and cucumbers, so I load up on broccoli and other veggies I like instead. Just give your taste buds time to adjust! Don't diet; eat how you can see yourself eating for the rest of your life. Finally, the most important, 6. Don't ever, ever, ever give up. I know it sounds cliche, but if I can do it (with my entire family being overweight), then you can too. Even if you say "I'm too big, I can never lose all that weight," push it out of your mind. It took me over a year to lose the weight, but I did it. It won't come off all at once, but once you lose a pound, you'll know it's possible and want to keep going. Good luck guys! (view less)

I still eat desserts and fatty foods but not near as much as I was. I eat smaller meals/snacks but i eat more often than I used to. I eat a bigger breakfast/smaller dinner. I keep myself busy which means I don't have as much time to eat or think about eating. I'd still like to lose another 12 pounds to reach my goal weight of 125.

Back in March 2012 I was convinced to run a marathon with my best friend (26.2) miles. I told her she was crazy and I would only end up doing the half marathon. I was wrong. I spend 7 months of training. Waking up in the summer at 6:30am to go run 5 or 6 miles 3 times a week and then do a Saturday run of 13 miles and kept adding a mile each Saturday. I actually stuck with the training and worked hard! Unfortunately I did not eat the best during this time but I had to eat moderately because you need good nutrients for your body to be able to run that long. On October 21, 2012 I ran a marathon in under 7 hours. I did not run fast, but I ran it. This is just the beginning for me!

I didn't want to hit 200. I'm a solidly built guy and people are surprised to find out how much i weighed. I started going to the gym every day and doing cardio and weights. Also, I decided I was going to grow a 10 lbs beard. Thats right, not shave until I had lost 10 pounds. The longer it took, the more discusting my gross facial hair got and i was more motivated to go to the gym just so i could shave! It worked, I worked hard for two months now and brought my weight down dramatically. I also stopped munching when i used to smoke pot. That helped with the unhealthy food intake! Just set goals and get there, My goal is to put on 6 lbs of muscle and maintain a 180lbs, 6' build.

Whenever i felt that life is pushing me down, i would get on my feet and start running on the treadmill, within a year i've lost 10 kilograms or so. My friends and relatives were shocked, especially when i'm usually the fat one around them, and most of the people were usually making fun of my fats. Nonetheless, i started with a notice from my doctor,as apparently, im overweight. Since my mom introduced me to the treadmmill, i've never been more grateful to her :). Anyways, if you are feeling angry or discouraged, take it on the treadmill, ur helping yourself. Good luck to those who are starting out xDD (Note: 166 cm, 57 kg is 5'5", 125 lb.)
