THE SCALE- The scale is what a dieter lives by. It's their tool. It's what makes them have a good day, or a bad day. I know that because that's what it does to me. I try not to look at my scale too much, but I always find myself in the bathroom. Weight can fluxuate, day by day, and for most girls, week by week. You have may actually lost weight, but it won't show up if your bloated, gained muscle, or have dranked a ton more water than usual. If you have to weigh yourself everyday, do it in the morning, with little, or nothing on, to get a correct reading. Digital scales are more accurate than needle point scales. I recommend to keep track of weight, weigh yourself only once every week, or even every 2, that way the surprise of a missing couple pounds will be a really good motivator. Remember, don't let your weight judge the way you feel about yourself. Someone will not notice if you've gained 3 1/2 pounds, but they will notice when you have lost to your goal weight and you will walk with more confidence and assurance. Good luck!

When you guys say "diet" how long do you plan to stay on it? A couple of weeks? A year? Untill you loose enough weight? Then you easily go back to the way you were before, eating a lot. After you've finished your diet you always end up gaining all the weight again. If any of you are serious about loosing weight, dieting is not the answer. Loosing weight or being healthy is a life changing process! You have to be prepared to change your life for the better. TRAIN yourself to eat healthier and actually excersize at least 3-4 times a week. Its more efficient if you do this slowly and surely. You want to make yourself look good for a life time, not for a month and then gain it all back again. Hi everyone! Well, this isn't totally on topic, but my dad has been looking for some activity for me to do, and well, he found this exersize class that meets three days a week, but it's for adults. I'm really shy around kids my own age...Around grown ups it's even worse. I'm SO scared. Any advice would be grately appriciated.

Start: 197 lb, Today: 219 lb - Hi its my first time in here in a very long time. Well i tried the diet thing, i tried the pill thing, I tried pretty much every thing that is out there except for surgury. Hi i just watched a tv show that was all about eating disoder. the girl on there died because she was to thin and she had a hart atack. do you want that to happen to you? there are heathy ways to go about loosing weight. please dont die because you think that you are to fat. no matter how much you weight you will find someone to love you your family and friends love. aghh im soo frustrated, with this whole diet thing!! cause i am going on holiday in around 7-8 months and wanto look good, and i keep saying right 2mrw im guna start eating healthily, and excercising at least 3 hours a week. then i keep saying no i will start to 2mrw, but i never do!!! i am not sure i will be able to lose 20-25 pounds in 7 to 8 months. is this possible? cause i dont actually wan2 go on a diet, but just eat three healthy meals a day, lots of water the occasional sweet thing, and excercise. please help! also how much excercise should i do? is three hours 2 much? thanks everyone! bi x :)
