hi i started trying to lose weight last october ... i lost nearly 5 kg by januray but i've put nearly all of it back on ... i know i've had bad periods... but i never thought i could put so much back on!! i'm also doing lotsa of sport : 2hours badmington, 2 hours basketball and 2hours swimmming + lotsa of walking every week. somebody told me muscles wheigh alot. What do u think, i'm starting to feel discouraged

do u have to do cardio exercises to lose weight? or can u just do specific parts of the body exercise? Like... crunches, lunges, and etc.

I weigh 145lbs and want to weight 115lbs by September. I'm only 4'11" tall. This is a pretty realistic weight for my height, I think. I workout (cardio and occasional weight training) 3 to 4 times a week and have been for about 4 months now, but I don't seem to be losing any weight. I just seem to be gaining muscle weight. Why? And can someone help me come up with an easy to follow meal plan? I think that may be the problem. What do you guys think?

hey guys. okay i have to go to a physical next week and im REALLY freaked out, espcially since im overweight. im going just cuz i havent been to the doctor in a while and my mom is making me. im soooo scared of doctors. has anyone been to a physical recently? can you tell me exactly what they do? do they take blood? please reply.

Hey everyone...I just wanted to congratulate all of you who have lost the weight and want to encourage those who r tryin to keep at it...And i've noticed on this board that alot of ppl are writin and saying that they wanna lose weight bc all their friends are all skinny or their family members keep making fun of them. I just wanted to say that if you dont wanna lose weight for the right reasons i.e to be healthy, fit etc...you losing weight will never be easy...I mean your heart has to be in it, you'll only wanna lose weight for others thus in turn satisfying others instead of yourself. I wanted to lose weight for all the wrong reasons, and it never worked. But when I decided that i wanted to lose weight cause i wanted to be healthier i saw pounds fallin off. So far ive lost 40lbs since Oct. and I did this with the FIRM and eating properly...to conclude make sure ur heart wants to lose weight...:)

Hey Everybody! I am so nervous today, because i have to leave for my gymnastics competition in less than 2 hours! For my competition I have to wear nothing but a leotard-no shorts or anything, just a leotard! Im so nervous because of my huge, jiggly thighs and my butt of cottage cheese! hi I just wanted to post to let everyone know that it can be done. ive been struggling with my weight for as long as I can remember tryin fad diets to lose weight fast but gainin it all back plus more! I ended up at 224lbs!! I decided I couldn't keep doin this to myself so I joined weightwatchers...its fantastic!!! I know it'll take a while to lose all my weight but Ive lost 15.5lbs in 5 weeks & feel like I have been eating loads. Its not always easy but its possible & I know if I stick with it I can be 140 by this time next year. seems far away I know but I know that if I don't do this then i could b the same or even fatter this time next year!!

Hey I have been doing better with excercise this week it is basically the natural stuff playin outside(i.e bikeriding basketball just walking round ) but i feel i need help with the calorie part or I will never loose weight I am goin to be on spring break startin the first of april and that will be a great time to get on track with counting calories and then I will be riding my bike and having fun and not worring bout things such as homework and I cant wait till i get to 160 i am 179 now and I really want to get to 160 by the end of the school year and spring break is goin to be a great chance for me to get the excercise and I cant wait WOOOHOOO!!!!!!!!!!! So if any of you have good advise on how to get to 160 at least by the end of the school year it would be greatly appriecitaed oh yea my last day of school is may 26th so if that helps i want to be 160 by then at least if not less.
