Dear Matt,I'm going to give you the same advice I gave to a girl on this board. Talk to someone about your worries and concerns. They will help you to see things in a clearer manner and if not, they'll find someone who can. Even if your parents aren't together, it doesn't mean they don't love you. You parents split for a good reason, they must have been unhappy, and therefore, made themselves happy by being a part. Talk to one of your parents, or even both. When you see the doctor you can talk to him, or try a teacher. I know it's stressful when you want to lose weight and it won't go away. Believe I've been there, done that and got the t-shirt!!!! Your too young to be worrying about such matter, but it doesn't stop you worrying does it? Please seek help and don't stay quiet. For some reason, a shared problem becomes a shared solution!!!If you need to vent and don't want to talk with your parents, even if I think you should. I'll always be willing to listen. Krystle AKA hodgypie@aol.comTake care Matt and please seek help!!!!!

My aunt is a weight loss instructor, and here is some VERY key information in how you can lose weight. Aerobic training is the only form of exercise where you use two sources of energy: carbs (blood glucose) and fat. The Surgeon General advises us that, to be healthy, we need to exercise at least three to four times a week, in an aerobic zone, for 20-30 minutes. That is a standard to keep your heart healthy, not to lose body fat by burning calories. Here's what you need to understand. For the first 20 minutes you are exercising in your aerobic zone, you are burning about 80% carbohydrates and 20% fat. For the next 20 minutes, you are burning about 50% carbs and 50% fat. You're getting better. Now you're gonna start to lose some of that weight as the fat is being burned! So what happens if you start getting into the above 40 minute range? A reversal. You are now burning about... (view more)My aunt is a weight loss instructor, and here is some VERY key information in how you can lose weight. If you want some more tips then ask for some, I have tons. Also remember, if you want to lose weight relatively fast, then your just gunna have to work longer! (view less)

Okay here it is do yo ever have that feeling where it is'nt meal time yet but you are really hungry and you don't want to have a huge snack. Well to help lower your hunger eat or drink citrus like ornge juice, oranges, lemonade, and lemons. Anything with citrus will help lower your hunger and myake you feel more full.

Hey everyone.. I got a post asking what the South Beach Diet is, and basically it's this thing with three phases... The first phase is you can basically only eat small portions of only certain types of food and it's kinda like the Atkins diet. The only thing is you are not allowed to eat fruit, barely any dairy, and all carbes, sugar. So as you can see it is pretty restrictive so basicall I am not eating any carbs I added the fruit back in as well as 2 glasses of milk and am eating very very small amounts of sugar.. basically Im not eating any desserts and the sugar I am getting is natural.. so basically thats the south becah diet. Oh I have a question though anybody have a fun way to excersize i mean besides the usual walking.. haha which I can do I just wanted somthing alittle more fun and different.. thanks..

Here is a GREAT ab exercise routine for all of you guys who want to lose some inches. First off is a exercise called the "hundred" to do this you should lay down on your back, bring your legs up at a 60 degree angle and push your hands down a hundred times. Next do 10 regular crunches, then 10 reverse crunches, then do 5 crunches, but take 2 counts to come up, and 2 counts to come back down. Do the same with the reverse crunches. Next, bring both your legs up and lower the left, bring it up, lower the right and so on for 15 times. Then do a scissor like action with that same pose. Do that 10 times. Next, grab your right ankle with your right hand and your left ankle with your left hand and sit up, push your legs together and roll into a ball and rock down then back up. Remember, variation is key. You aren't going to get anywhere if your just doing the same thing. I hope this helps some of you, it sure helped me!

Ht. 5'9", Today: 188 lb (BMI %tile: 93), Goal: 157 lb - Hello Everyone, I'm new to this and Just found the website yesterday. I went to my doctor's and I told her how my weight was making me uncomfortable and she gave me some tips on losing weight. She recommended I try the South Beach diet for a month to get me started then to slowly just start eating healthier. Today was my first day on it. It's so hard though I have tried so much in the past and nothing has worked so far so it's hard for me to stay motivated. I'm 5 foot 8 and 3/4 and 188 lbs. I'm really motivated this time though, and finding this website was an answered prayer, cuz I didn't know they had something like this. I'm about 31 pounds from my goal weight, and I really want to lose at least 13-15 pounds by december 13 wich is exactly 3 weeks away. It's actually a special occasion for me cuz the guy I liked asked me to this big dance, and this will be my first date.. lol it seems ... I could really use any support and advice you have, and I am looking for a diet buddy to help me with this, possible e-mailing back and forth 2 times a week or more. (Preferably someone 15-17 years of age.. no offense to anyone I just want someone my age to talk to) Well anyways, If anyone has tips on good ways to get started or their favorite healthy meal that would be great.
