People, People, People!!! stop writing stuff like I am gonna have this for breakfast and this for lunch! You are going to get sick of eating the same food and you will quit your diet and think you are a failure. Just eat whatever you have at home. Suggest to your guardian to get fruits, vegetables, lean meats(unless your a vegetarian), and whole wheat bread, dairy products such as skim milk, cheese, and other lowfat dairy products. Also, aim for a reasonable goal. If you are 5'5 there is no reason that you need to weight 110-120! Aim for something like 130-140 or more. I am 5'7 and weigh 184. My goal is 147. That is pretty reasonable. Talk to your doctor if there is any reason to weigh less than that! -hope no1 is offended-

I have a question. On this website it says that you need a mixture of fruits, vegetables, and carbs, right? so why in the world is everyone saying they are going on a low carb diet? It is stupid! one thing that makes people gain weight is that they eat more cal. then they burn off. so if you want to loose weight count how many cal. you eat, then exercise and burn that amount other wise it builds fat.

you see i really want to lose weight, and my mom says see wants to support me, but seh beleives im not at "that point" yet,where i am so motivated or something, but i truly am, but i cant get her to believe me, plus ontop of that i have two little siters and they are starting to gain bellys, and i keep telling my mom to stop them from eating becuz the teasing is horrendus, but she says they are still young and will have time

I was just wondering if anyone else can relate... do you feel that whenever your parents say that you need to loose weight, you want to loose weight less? and when they arent on you about it, you feel more motivated?? for instance, i just finished drivers ed, so i can go get my permit. but, my freaking parents say that i need to weight 145 before i can get it. ok, yeah, i weight 190!! what am i going to do?/ i need my permit by the end of the summer to drive by junior year, but loosing 5 lb. a week isnt reasonable.

Ok they say about an hour of exersice 2 days a week...well I can't do it for a straight hour...I get too bored, except on sundays I play basketball for an hour...so what can I do instead?? like 30 mins EVERYDAY or what?if I eat like 800-900 calories a day will that help me loose alot?? I weigh 189 5'3"

Quick food tip-- if you eat three one serving containers of low-fat (not fat-free) yogurt a day, it cuts down on your hunger and the calcium helps you keep the weight off. Plus it tastes a whole lot better than milk or cottage cheese. I don't know about soy-based yogurt, though. Maybe it works also.
