I have to resort to making my 15 year old daughter stop eating completely. I am out of things to do. I make her excersize, she only eats healthy foods, but she just keeps getting fatter! When she was 10 she weighed 147, that's more than me! Ever year she gains more and more, this year, we went to the doctor 1 week ago for her yearly check up and she was a whopping 267 and only 5"2!!! She is huge, and honestly it disgusts me. I make her run, but she can't go far. I also made her take the stairs at the place we went to yesterday and after only two flights she had to sit down. I am disgusted with her body, what she looks like, and her huge weight.

My daughter Sydney is 13, she is 5"4 and weighs in at about 160 pounds. She is active and has a lot of muscle but her stomach and breast (middle) area is VERY large. She is a bridesmaid in my sister, her aunts wedding that's coming up this September and we just did dress measurements, she came out to be a size 27 so we have to get her dress somewhere else because the bridal shop everyone else is getting theirs from does not carry that size. She wears size women's 24 pants, but they are way to tight on her, creating red marks and when she wears them you can clearly see the bulge of fat that shows through her triple x-l women's shirt. She wears a 42-DD but it is also, tight on her. Because of her depression with all of this, I simply can not get her to stop eating. I buy less food, and we only eat healthy, but I keep finding secret stashes of candy and fast food in her room. Also, I was wondering if it is normal for her to be holding her stomach when she walks. I asked her what she was doing once. Now, I think I should mention that her stomach hangs down quiet far, down to the middle/top of her thighs. She tells me that when she holds it up when she walks it takes some of the weight off of her feet. Any ideas on how I can help my daughter? (view less)

Hello, I'm having trouble discussing with my child about her weight problems. Any ideas on how too start a conversation.

I have 3 beautiful children who are all overweight. I would like to help them lose weight, but how can I help them when I can't help myself? I can barely do my everyday tasks without getting winded and gasping for air. Last year we had to get a 1st floor apartment due to me not being able to climb the stairs anymore. I don't know what to do anymore!

Hi I'm Natille and I have four daughters that are all very overweight. My 11 year old is the biggest she is 4'9 138lb, shortly followed by my 14 year old standing in at 5'2 151lb. My 13 year old is 5'2 as well but only 133lb. My 16 year old is the skinniest but is still very fat, she is 5'3 127lb. I don't know what to do they are all so heavy. I feel like I've failed as a mother

My daughter, Alexis 13, (Yes, we have the same name) is on this website a lot and I hear she's been telling kids about why they should get big like her? It can't be healthy and no matter what I try to do she still finds ways to get bigger. I think she enjoys being huge! Help please!

My daughter is 5'5 or 5'6 and is tall for her age and weighs 110lbs. I know that's supposed to be skinny but she has a little flab hanging around her belly. Is it extra skin or is she overweight? Are there any exercises to get rid of the fat?

Sorry for the double post, but I was wondering if anyone has experience with their child holding their belly?? My daughter holds her belly when she walks because her weight is carried there. She says its heavy and it helps to hold it. When she lays on her side she says she is uncomfortable with the way the fat rolls lay and overlap. She is also not used to her large bust size yet. Suggestions to make 282 pounds more comfortable?

How do your kids wear their pants? Over or under their belly? Its harder to find bigger pants that fit over, but she says it's uncomfortable to let it hang over. When she wears them over though the pants dig in and create rolls over the top. They leave red marks,so I don't think that looks comfortable either. Which way do your kids wear them? She is also insecure with her bra creating "back fat" where her fat on her back bulges over the top and bottom of the bra. Suggestions to help that?

So I got my son new clothes and he stopped complaining about the tightness, however, this morning I was able to go in a bit later to work so took the opportunity for a lie in. After he had been picked up for school I noticed there was a funny smell coming from his room and found a draw filled to overflowing with empty fast food containers and another with chip bags, candy bar wrappers, donut bags and more! I don't know how long they have been in there or why he has so many. His size is really starting to worry me. Advice would be great.

My son is 9 years old and he is the largest kid in his class. He keeps growing out of his clothing. Now he is a size 34 the same size as me, but Im way taller and very fit (im 38 years old). No one in our family is over weight on our side, but on his moms side several folks are over weight and i believe he could have their eating habits or slow metabolism Gene. He takes pride in food and will say he is hungry 20 min after a huge meal. His mother was had a eating disorder when she was younger, so I think she has trouble addressing the situation. What to do? try to keep active? He is very active. change his eating habits? He finds a way to eat more and he doesn't really eat junk. Should I address it and tell him im worried about his health? His brother that is 5 and doesn't have a ounce of fat on his body is starting to make fun of him. Both my self and my x wife haven't said a thing, but continue to try to get him to eat healthy and not over eat. any input would be great!!!!! thanks, Jeff

My son started complaining this morning that his clothes are getting tight again. Apparently they've been feeling tight for about 2 weeks but now they are starting to be tight enough to hurt. What worries me is that I only just bought him new clothes in the summer and he doesn't look any taller. He doesn't ever let me weigh him so I don't know if he has gotten heavier and it's hard to tell if has gained weight or not. He is very resistant to any form of diet or exercise. I just don't know what to do.

Please help me, I need advice. My 15 year old daughter used to be fit - a good size. Now she's growing by the day (and I don't mean taller). She's carrying the extra weight around her middle and in her face. She also thinks she can still wear all the same clothes she did before, and needless to say they are not flattering or appropriate. I don't want to cause an eating disorder or anymore tension than already exists. I, too, am overweight, and I don't want her to battle this for the rest of her life. She has very bad eating habits and refuses to change. She also thinks her friends are "way bigger" than she is. She doesn't see it.

When approached as delicately as I could manage she said she cannot reach to wipe after bowl movement thus odor. Is there a secret to doing this as I was left with no answer for her. Help.

Hey my name is Hannah I have 2 kids and they are both obese. My 1 year old Carly weighs 47lbs but that's not why I am writing. I am writing about my 10 year old daughter who weighs 250lbs and is growing. I am not sure wether it is in her genes because I weigh 500lbs myself. But she her friends are all so much smaller then her but they are all obese too. I tried putting her on a diet but she still eats and eats and eats. I don't know what to do!
