From MarmAR, Age 14, female - 03/01/05 - IP#: 66.185.84.xxx In the last two weeks of applying my new healthy changes to my lifestyle, I've lost two inches off of my waist, and 7 pounds.... :)Ive never felt better!
From Kathryn, Age 13, female - 02/28/05 - IP#: 207.69.12.xxx hey, I am 13 and 5.4 I weigh 148lbs. i am continually going up and down from 150-142, i used to starve myself. Never ever do this. This was how desperate i had become. but the second you start to drink water and eat u gain every bit back and it is extremely dangerous and can be fatal. it has been 3 months since i weighed 163lbs and i have lost about 15lbs. i hope to loose at least another 15lbs. because i still like to be curvy. i do pilates, eat ONLY when I am hungry and satisfy my needs so i dont go overboard later on. plus i drink lots and LOTS of water. It is very easy and really does work, this is the best way to do it because it comes of slowly and is healthy! try this! i am so serious! i will reply once i reach my goal! good luck everyone! xoxo _kp_

From sarah, Age 13, female - 02/21/05 - IP#: 12.220.232.xxx OMG!!! I lost twenty pounds in only a month!!!! Now I can wear my shorts again!!! Just walk for about 30 minutes, do 100 crunches, and eat lots of fruits and veggietables,(stay away from chips and sweets-pretzels are good) if you are just starting go slow and then work your way up. Don't over work yourself. And remember Don't give up.
From Blaya, Age 15, female - 02/20/05 - IP#: 67.5.231.xxx All my life I have been overweight. Last year, I decided to do something about it. I gave up soda (which I drank all the time!) and exersized everyday which I never did before. I did 20 crunches every night, 100 jumping jacks, and I ran 10 minutes. My healthier eating and exersize easily dropped my weight down 10 pounds in the first month or so. I have been on this diet for almost a year and have gone from 205 pounds to 140 pounds! Before, boys didn't even look at me. Now they stare and I get some whistling!!! I'M SO PROUD OF MYSELF! ^_^

From chelsea, Age 16, female - 02/11/05 - IP#: 152.163.97.xxx I have a huge peice of advice for everyone here. I have gone from 147 to 115 ( I'm only 5'2" ) and I only have 5 more lbs to lose until I'm at my goal weight range. I have struggled along the way and I have had my ups and downs. I just stayed positive no matter what and lived in the moment. I didn't wait until I was thin to do the things I love to do, like hang out with friends and go to the movies or wearing a cute outfit, I just bought the bigger size, even though it was depressing. The thing I wanted to bring up, that I have noticed a lot of on this site, is that everyone is setting a certain time limit for themselves..." I have to lose this weight by..." That isn't gonna work sweetheart. No matter how big the time limit. You need to take it day by day, pound by pound. You need to focus on the moment and tell yourself you are beautiful now, no matter how far you have to go. You can't ... (view more)I have a huge peice of advice for everyone here. That isn't gonna work sweetheart. No matter how big the time limit. You need to take it day by day, pound by pound. You need to focus on the moment and tell yourself you are beautiful now, no matter how far you have to go. You can't plan to be a size 6 by summer. If you think that way, most likely you will fail on your diet and then you'll just start setting up a new time limit. I know this because I have been in your shoes. I ain't gonna lie, It was hell sometimes for me. I had my binge days and I had my mistakes. Everyone thinks that when they start a diet, that's it, If they cheat the diet is ruined, If they have one night of pigging out on anything and everything they have to start a new diet. Diets are stupid!!!! Eat what you want but in moderation, Don't tell yourself you can't eat chocolate cake ever again, have it today but don't eat the whole thing. I really do care about overweight people, why? Because I have stuggled with my weight since I was 9 years old, there have been times where I was so thin I had to be put in the hospitals and there were times I got so big I had to buy all new clothes every week. Now I finally got my life together. I wouldn't tell you something I thought would mess up your diets but if you think about what I'm saying and just take my advice, you'll get there...you might not get there by June to wear that bikini but someday if you keep trying, day by day, you'll get there. Everyone here is really determined to get to their goals and that is awesome. You have to really want it to get there and everyone here really wants it. I feel your pain. I'm so proud of myself for making it this far and I know everyone will be in my shoes someday if they take my advice. Everyone, good luck...remember that you are beautiful now and always will be...even if you gained 20 more pounds or 50 at that. Size doesnt matter, your personality is what makes you beautiful, not your body. And if you think otherwise then your an ugly person. Trust me, I knew this girl ( luckly she moved ) She was skinny with big boobs and was probably one of the most beautiful people I've ever seen on the outside, but her personality sucked and nobody wanted to be around her. Good luck guys. (view less)

From Denise, Age 20, female - 02/02/05 - IP#: 152.163.100.xxx As a teen, I was always thin. I was 160 lbs. when I was 18, but it looked good on my body. I wasn't skinny, and I def. wasn't fat. I looked good in skirts and dresses. I felt good. I exercised every single night. Then I got a job at a deli and I had the chance to eat all these good foods. That's what I did. And before long, I ballooned up to 220 lbs. I felt tired all the time and my body ached. I stopped my exercise. I wore baggy clothes to cover up my fat. I decided to make a change. I began drinking alot of water. I ate 3x a day, but not big portion foods. I stopped eating all the fried foods at my job, and cut back alot on junk foods. I had alot of veggies ( I love salad, so I always had a salad for dinner). And I started eating fish and chicken more often. Once in a while I would eat reg. for a day, but go right back on the next. If I feel that I went crazy 1 day, I go back on my little diet for 3 days. I don't wanna lose any more weight, and I don't wanna gain it back, so I have to maintain it. I wish every one luck on their goal to lose weight. I admit, it's not an easy thing to do, but remember only YOU can do it.....good luck all! (view less)
