But than I just relized it's a matter of not sitting in front of the tv and computer all day and eating junk food. You just have to start eating right and excercise as much as you can get yourself too. One thing that I found helped was if I was having a craving and was ready to jump for the doritos. I would immediatlly go down to the kitchen and grab some fruit. Because if I just sat there I would keep thinking about the craving and eventually just give in, thats how I always failed my 'dieting.' So just grab something healthy to eat so you don't do something dumb and dive for the doritos. As far as excercise goes, I would try to do as much as I could bring myself too. That should get you off your couch and start excercising. also, I made smoothies with my blender all the time which were awesome. Just add your favorite fruits a couple ice cubes and BAM you got an awesome healthy filling drink. And I know this is getting kind of long but one other thing I did to motivate myself was booby trap my house. Get pictures of take pictures and put them on your fridge, on your computer desktop, anywhere you think laziness and junk food might take place. I also took pictures of myself every 2 weeks to see my progress, its awesome seening the before and after after 4 months :). Trust me, the life is a LOT better in the 'after' picture. (view less)

But this one time i had maid a plan out of what to do each day at the beginning of sumeer. walk 1 mile, then play ddrmax, its a game that u hit steps to win, then 10 sit ups morning and night..at the beginning og summer i was 140 at 5'4..now at the end im 125 at 5'4..so u can all do it..yes i cheated so many times but keep with it..i know its so hard I LOVE FOOD TO but if u work through it ull be impressed...eat and drink what u want just not as much and exercise...Tara gl
From Derrick, Age 14, male - 08/24/04 - IP#: 65.0.13.xxx Hi my name is derrick, and I successfully reached my goal of 170, from 190, in about 1 month and 4 weeks. Basically throught the summer. It was hard, and it took lots of discipline. 1 thing is that you have to eat, at leat 3 meals a day. If you dont eat, you dont lose. How ever much you weigh now, ad a zero on the end, and thats how many calories you need to eat to lose weight, eat less if you want to lose more. For exercise i used teh game dance dance revolution, which kept a track of all teh calories i burned.I ate only turkey sandwiches with one peice of bread 90 caloriesandi drank diet drinksand i splurged once a month lol.

From caroline, Age 12, female - 08/14/04 - IP#: 65.161.206.xxx i have one friend who died from purging she lost like 20 lbs in 1 week and died shortly afterwords her mom checked in to rehab for an eating disorder later it was sad and i tried to stop my friend but she didnt' listen i learned that purging is not a healthy way to lose weight i have lost weight from diet and excersize i started out at 157 and i now weigh 103

I think it says I started at like 148, but I was about 160 when I actually started. Anyways, now I'm 135!! :D I just ate better and kept myself busy and also exercised by walking and stuff. So.. that's about 25 pounds gone for me :)

I also did like 20 sit ups,leg lifts,arm lifts,and I ran up my outside stairs like twice a day 10 times. The magic part is that I lost 20 pounds in 4 weeks and thats alot of weight loss in just a month. I mean the 20 lbs. that I had loss made me look like a nice and slim person, for my ideal weight anyway. But no for real I looked really nice. The best thing about this diet is that you can have all of the meat,cheese,eggs and other non-carb things you want and not worry about gaining a pound... I really, really recommend this diet to everyone who wants to lose tremendous weight in only one month. But drink lots of water it helps. Boys would over look me and others would make hurtful comments. After awhile, I began to grow taller. This was a plus. I took a gym class where I ran alot. I began to walk the roads and ride my bike more. Water helped alot. Instead of changing my diet completely, I found it to be helpful just by cutting porportions down. I was up to a 13/14 and now I wear a 9 in pants and a 7/8 in dress! And it feels good! Hopefully I can one day get my stomach flat completely.
