From Ashley, Age 14, female - 05/30/04 - IP#: 66.188.22.xxx Hey everyone! I have lost 14 pounds in 2 months! Go me! Now I weigh 170, which is getting close to my end of the summer goal 150!I started at 184 :)
From Nathan, Age 26, male - 05/24/04 - IP#: 24.13.249.xxx I was 225lbs last week. Today, one week later, I am exactly 215lbs. I exercised 2 hours a day for seven days last week. And I ate the same amount of calories that I burned during workout (about 1400 calories). It's funny, I never felt starved and ate whatever I want. The only thing I changed in my diet was portion control. I still ate my carbs and fatty foods but I made dam sure I would stay under 1400 calories. And the pounds melted off. I will continue this trend. I will post again next week Monday with my new weight. I hope I will lose at least 5 more pounds. My goal is to weigh 165lbs for my height of 5'9''. Hopefully by the first week of August I will be down to that weight. (I am going to L.A. in August, and I want to look dam good for all the hotties on the beach!) part of my fast weight loss is due to my age and gender. I hear from dieticians and expert weight-loss counselors that Young men 15-29 years of age is the group that loses the most weight in a short period of time due to our biological muscularity and higher metabolism.
From Samantha, Age 15, female - 05/23/04 - IP#: 198.81.26.xxx Last summer I started my weight loss challenge. I was 144 pounds and I wanted to be at 130. I started on the weigh in page but I got distracted form it and stayed at my original weight. A few months ago I wanted to lose the weight again. I exercised every day and kept track of what I ate in a "food and exercise diary". I reached my first goal of 130 a few weeks ago and now I am working towards my next goal of 125 which I am very close to. My plan is to take small steps and get to 120 pounds by next fall. I know I can do it and I am so much happier now. People notice my weight loss and I am glad to know I can acheive my goals when I work hard.

From Shannon, Age 22, female - 05/13/04 - IP#: 161.184.21.xxx I've been looking at a lot of the success stories and I think it's awesome. Doesn't it feel great to know you're looking and feeling better about yourself all the time. I have lost 10 lbs in 8 weeks, I am now 145 lbs. My ideal weight is 130 lbs, that would be great. I'll share with you a few of the exercises I do to keep my weight falling. You don't have to follow these exactly and of course it's only if you want the extra tips: First I eat healthy... Breakfast - Fruits, Cereal, Peice of toast w/ jam or butter ( anything but cheeses! ). Serve yourself until you feel satisfied --- Not full, never eat till your full --- just satisfied! Lunch - Soup, Light Sandwich (Lettuce, Tomato, and a Meat slice -- Easy on the Mayo), or Salad (sorry, no Greek Salads as good as they are!) Supper - MEAT!!! Chicken, Fish, Beef -- Whatever ... Maybe stay away from the hotdogs and bacon... (view more)I've been looking at a lot of the success stories and I think it's awesome. Maybe stay away from the hotdogs and bacon tho --- talk about fatty and unhealthy! You'll also need some veggies, anything you like is great. Just go easy on the serving size and remember DO NOT eat till your full, if you have a little extra on your plate, don't try to finish it just cuz it's there (or as your parents would say "Don't take so much then!") Snacks - If you're looking to snack, go easy --- Eat Fruits or Veggies with a LIGHT dip. Sounds gross but I Dip Celery in Mustard, give it a try, if you don't like it, you don't have to eat it ... Right? As far as Exercise goes (Remember you don't have to do it all, make your own schedule that works for you.) - 200 sit-ups a day - Tip-Toe lifts, 100 a day (standing on a stair with tip of feet and lifting your heels up and down) - 100 squats - 50 MAN push-ups - 50 side leg lifts on either side (Lay on your side and lift your leg up so it's aligned with your mid-section and lower it without touching your toe to the ground.) - 50 inner thigh leg lifts on either side (Lay on your side and take your outer leg and place it in front of you so your foot is resting by your stomach (kind of an awkward position) then lift the leg that you haven't bent out of shape and lift it up and down 50 times with your toes pointed, careful not to charlie horse yourself) Last but not least --- I run, I never know how much I will run a day but at I run atleast a KM a day, it's not much but it gets you out of the house. ... I do admit, I cheat on a lot of the exercises sometimes, cuz it is an awful lot to do sometimes but it's still great even when I do cheat. Remember, this is my schedule, make one that works for you, but this might help a bit, cuz these are garaunteed weight wacker tips!!! Hope this helps --- Shannon (view less)

If you want the best diet in the world it is water exercise and no sugar or breads watch your carbs. I lost 07 lbs in my first week dropping sugar and exercise i walked 2 miles a day, situps and crunches and jumping jacks 20 each, each day and it works. It took me app. 30 minutes for that exercise and thats not alot of time out of your day. Find a friend to go walk with you,or alittle cousin. Honestly i walk at night at the track with my little cousin because of people passing by. So if you like privacy walk at night when its cool.A drastic change like exercise will help you drop the weight quick i know its not easy but wait a week and weigh and see your success to keep you motivated. Think of things that motivate you like that dress, or the girl you wanna look like, how about great music to get you going like "pump up the jam" Get some great work out music that helps as well. Most of all think about yourself, think of food as something you need to live, not a way to live. Good luck to the girls that are starting your diets, Let us know how it goes. Congrats to all the lovely women at there ideal weight wtg!! Love yall, Sam (view less)
