Ht. 5'8", Start: 228.5 lb, Today: 224 lb (BMI %tile: 97), Goal: 144 lb - Hey everyone! So I've lost 4 lbs since my last post. I've started college again, and for the past few days, I've reverted back to my horrible eating habits. However, I have been exercising every morning. Now I'm going to really focus on limiting the amount of processed foods I intake. I notice that when I combine junk food and exercise, I get aching cramps that last for the whole day. I also get really tired. So now I'm going to make sure 85% of my diet is composed of healthy foods. I'll try to do another post next Wednesday. God Bless:)

Ht. 5'3", Start: 230 lb, Today: 230 lb (BMI: 41), Goal: 125 lb - Okay. So I'm ready to start losing weight. I just don't where to being. How should I change my diet? I'm not going to starve myself just because I want to be skinny. Which exercises I should start doing? Stop I walk/run? I can't afford a gym and I really want to prove to everyone that I can do this on my OWN. I'm ready to lose weight. I'm tired of making excuses.. I just need the support. Does anyone have any advice and tips for me just starting out? I hope this website has people who post on here frequently. For those of you who lost weight.. how did you do it? What did you do? I know.. so many questions!! :P

Ht. 5'1", Start: 204 lb, Today: 143 lb (BMI: 27), Goal: 115 lb - BROKE THE PLATEAU!!! It took forever, but I'm officially past the 144lb. mark I couldn't break through for about 2 1/2 months. If I can lose 3 pounds by the end of this month (one week), I'll still be right on track towards my final goal. Wow, I've always wanted to be this small, but I honestly never thought I'd get there - it feels really good =).
Anyone that's struggling, don't give up - it's definitely worth the fight. Do it for yourself, your loved ones and your future!!

Ht. 5'8", Start: 228.5 lb, Today: 228 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 144 lb - Well I've lost 1/2 a pound in the last 9 days since my last post. I really haven't changed my eating habits, but I did go to the gym this past week. I decided to commit myself to the Daniel Fast for 10 days, just to cleanse my body both physically and spiritually. I'm going to try to give updates every 2-4 days. God Bless everyone!

Ht. 5'1", Start: 204 lb, Today: 147 lb (BMI: 28), Goal: 115 lb - Ayyye! I haven't lost a SINGLE pound since I last posted...I keep fluctuating between 3 pounds either way of 147...frustrating!
So I was bored at work yesterday and looking for something to help me and my husband lose weight and do together and I came across a website called www.active.com. It's an amazing site where you can select a sport and search for groups in your area. It also provides tips for healthy living and exercising. We've decided to run a 5k to support a charitable cause....possibly two, depending on how we fare in the first one =D. I figured this way, it's not as unbelievably hard as a marathon (or even half marathon - yikes!) and you don't have to have any natural athletic ability to just jog/run.
Now all I need is to find us a training regimen.... =/

Ht. 5'8", Start: 228.5 lb, Today: 228.5 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 144 lb - Hi everyone. I've been coming to this site for about 4 years, and I've felt I was fat since I was 9. Now I'm obese, and my weight as really affected every aspect of my life. My grades have suffered (I just completed first year of college and failed 2 classes, withdrew from 2 more), I can't find a job, I look like I'm 40, and I've just altogether stopped taking care of myself. But now I'm going to fight off this weight tooth and nail. I know that God has a purpose for me in this world, and I'm not going to let weight, depression, negative thoughts, sugar addiction, or bad grades stop me from fulfilling my purpose. I'm going to try to come on this site every Thursday to update this journey. God bless to you all, and stay positive!

Ht. 5'9", Start: 220 lb, Today: 190 lb (BMI %tile: 91), Goal: 160 lb - I used to come on this site whenever I was younger, and I never really did anything about losing weight. I was a huge emotional eater, and I still struggle with it sometimes.
Since January I've been watching what I put in my mouth, and I barely saw any results until June whenever I went out and bought some Jillian Michaels exercise/cardio DVD's, started walking 30 minutes every evening and eating a healthy 1,200 calorie diet (three 400 calorie meals). It's been since June first, when I weighed 210 pounds, and I've seen HUGE results! I've dropped three pants sizes, one shirt size, and I'm starting to see muscle definition!
I wish all of you the best of luck with reaching your weight loss goals, don't let the little things bring you down!

Ht. 5'5", Start: 280 lb, Today: 280 lb (BMI: 47), Goal: 175 lb - Okay, so this is my first time on this website, after having my son i thought i would loose the weight immediately, but i lost none of the weight and in fact in the past 2 years gained another 30. I am finally at my end, i want to loose the weight and most importantly keep it off. I though by coming here i could get support and help and guidence from people who are going through the same situation.

Ht. 5'7", Start: 168 lb, Today: 165 lb (BMI %tile: 85), Goal: 130 lb - Although my weight has never been above 168, I carry most of it around my tummy, so I look a lot heavier than I really am. A lot of people have guessed my weight to be around 195. I've just graduated from high school and I'm starting college in the Fall and now is the time for a change! I want college to be a fresh start, beginning with going in confident about the way I look. Eating right and exercising I got down to 158, but around graduation I gained 7 lbs. back. Now I'm having a hard time getting back to the healthy lifestyle I established.
What's harder is both of my parents are overweight/obese and my sister is a nationally competing athelete (meaning she can eat all of the food that's made the rest of us overweight without gaining a pound, she's very muscular, thin & toned.) Neither of my parents are inclined to eat healthier and are not supporting me. Every year on... (view more)

Ht. 5'5", Start: 170 lb, Today: 170 lb (BMI %tile: 91), Goal: 130 lb - Hi, so I'm wondering if y'all can give me some tips for not getting discouraged about losing weight. I lost about 5 or 10 pounds last school year because I walked to school every day and I just didn't eat as much, but since I've been home this summer I've just been really discouraged and depressed. I try to go to the gym 3 or 4 times a week, but lately I just can't motivate myself. I try not to eat a lot, but I feel like I'm failing at that so often. My family is going through a rough time right now and I feel like they're just too stressed with other things to be supportive right now. So, I'm just looking for insight and encouragement. Thank you.

Ht. 5'1", Start: 204 lb, Today: 147 lb (BMI: 28), Goal: 115 lb - So my real life has begun again...no more eating out/eating at all hours of the day and night. I've got to get myself pumped back up to lose those last 30ish pounds! I think the hardest part for me will be the workouts....I want to get myself toned and I know that takes hard work, and frankly, I've been slacking when it comes to that aspect of my weight loss. But no more making excuses for myself - I love how much better I feel about myself now that I've lost some excess weight and I can't wait to be rid of all of it!! Hope everyone's doing well!

Ht. 5'8", Start: 225 lb, Today: 154 lb (BMI: 23), Goal: 145 lb - so i'm prettty sure I lost another pound, its hard to tell on my scale cause its not a digital (i want to buy one of those bad boys real soon!) but whatever, pretty damn sure i did! I quit smoking today so i'm kind of nervous i'll gain some weight back as a result because i heard that happens, but maybe if i replace my cravings for cigarettes with drinking tea or coffee or something instead of eating that will help. ahh im scared! best of luck guys!
