Well, after seconds and seconds of vigorous research, i finally figured out what a crunch is!!!! to all of you who are as clueless as me, I will teach you how. Lie down flat on your back with your knees bent and your feet on the floor. Hold your hands wherever you feel comfortable (on your chest or beside your head - just be sure you don't pull on your head). Simply roll your upper torso forward. For a more effective "crunch", push your chest and head up towards the ceiling pushing your lower back flat onto the floor.Trying to crunch up towards the ceiling will increase the tension on the abs. Hold at the top of the movement for a second and squeeze hard. Don't lift up into a sit-up... thats NOT a crunch and does not accomplish what crunches do. This information curiosity of www.fitstep.com :-)

I hate being overweight it makes me feel bad when people make fun of me. I'd really love to look good in summer clothes. I would rather work on my exersize habits then eating habits...does anyone know any EFFECTIVE exersizes besides running or walking?

So anyways, about this whole lent thing were talking about. We should try and give up something that we love. Thats the whole idea anyways right? You can be any religion or none at all. Yet if you have negative input about lent and are not christian, its better to think about what your saying before you actuily say it. We had mass in school today to get our ashes (begining of lent), and the priest talked to us about giving something up. The first thing he said was, "You can give anything you want up, if it makes you feel better about yourself." CLEARLY, giving up sweets or junkfood will make you feel better about yourself and you learn some good habbits and mabye loose a few pounds on the way! So pick what you want to give up. Wether its candy or TV, or lieing, becuase each one will make you a better person! I myself am giving up dessert and not over-eating. What are you guys giving up?

does anyone want to be my buddy and email w/ me? I'm 15, 5'3 and a half, and I currently weigh 142 pounds. If anyone has similar stats that's even better, but I'm not picky. I'm trying to get down to 125 by June 1st, because I'm going to Spain this Summer and I want to be confident in a bikinni. I don't want to feel like another overweight American. reply back or send me an email if you're interested!
