This is for everyone that said that apples don't make you hungry, I was told by my doctor of 15 years that they do. Yes, they have fiber, but the amount of carbs and sugars in them make you feel like you are still hungry. Eating before a meal is a good thing to do but only if it is something that will fill you, such as a salad. If you eat something that makes you hungry you will most likely eat more of the meal than you should. And for the person who said we shouldn't worry about carbs because we are teens, you need to realize there are plently of people on this site who are on low-carb diets.

HI, i have some advise for all of u, what i was 10 i was 4foot 11 and 155 pounds... and i had a the hugest stomach with 5 rolls. but one day i decided to take control of my life. and with a healthy diet such as a proper assortment of fruits and vegetables and meats i lost over 30 pounds.. now i am 5 foot 11 and 165 pounds and i have a six pack and i am the healthiest i have ever been.. good luck to all

Hey ya'll! It has been so long since I've posted... At first I weight around 200 lbs... lost eight then came here... Posted got advice, got down to 183... went to my dads house, and helped him build on the house all summer... gained all the weight back... but not in fat... everything i gained is muscle mass... right now I weigh 191... And actually... even though I'm over weight... I'm happy. I'm still wokring out and I've been doing inturvals of the atkiens diet and regular healthy eating. I wish to get to 145 just because my brother thinks that if i get to 145 its to light... he says i shouldn't go under 160 caz then all his guy friends whould like me more than they already do... ah off topic... I am so depressed and I feel awful. I can't even get a bf and I hate myself. All day long I hear people say i am fat when their really not and I am I mean people who weight 110 and I weight alot more than that I wish I could lose weight aoa please if you have any imfo please please please if any of you have succeeded please let me know it would be appreciated. Hey everyone im starting my diet today! What I do IS i eat between 1000-1500 cal. a day no more than 1500!! Im 5'3 and way around 180.. i got a 36in waist.. really big legs.. hipss.. butt lower body im hoping on being skinny by next summer.. to atleast 125 lbs !! wish me luckk xOxO RIna!

I really need some help, i'm in the ninth grade and i just relized that in the last 2 years i have gained 110 pounds and i hate it because i used to weigh 132 and i was a cheerleader in 7th grade, and then I had a lot of problems going on in my life so i got really depressed and started gaining a lot of weight and my life is just now finally starting to go good again and then i went to the doctor and found out i gained 110 pounds. Breakfast-oatmeal, with 2 tsp of brown sugar, 1 peach, glass of skim milk. Lunch-fruit smoothie (fat free yogurt, fruit, juice) Supper-Lifestyles (lower fat option) frozen dinner, carrot sticks,glass of skim milk. Exercise-30 min. walk. 30 minutes of toning exercises. Do u think i am doing enough exercise or do i need to do more?

In the last year i gained 30 pounds and i kkno i cant lose 30 pounds in like a month but i would want to lose it by november. multiply uor weight by 10. whatever that number is, that is how many calories you should be consuming....or at least how much your body is managing. if you subtract 300-500 calories from that number, you will gain at least a pound a week. For example, if you weigh 180, your body manages 1800 calories. If you reduce your daily intake my 1500, or even better 1300, you will see results. Enough with these special diet fads. The gauranteed diet: burn more calories than you consume. This is really hard i know, but you can do it. I lost 25 pounds and i can stil leat the food i want, i just have to watch it. It's like my own weight watchers system! good luck!

I think i have a problem...im not sure tho. On school days, i dont eat breakfast or lunch cuz i'm usually not hungry durin those times. But i come home (around 4:00) and eat whatever. Then i'll maybe have somethin before i go to bed. Those are basically the only time i'll eat durin the school day. On the weekend i eat more than that tho so i dont think its like an eating disorder or anything. But what do ya'll think? Plus is the way im eating bad? I jus wanna know. If so, what can i do to change cuz im so used to eating this way and dont know what to do differently. Please reply. Thanks
