Ht. 5'3'', Wt. 147 - Is anyone here vegetarian? I have been thinking about becoming one and i need some advice. I dont wanna become vegetarian just because i will lose weight, i want to do it because i hate the way they kill animals. And this world started off eating nothing but anything from the ground. Why can't it be that way now lol

Ht. 5'3", Wt. 212 Goal:145 - I want to get down to 145 pounds, but there are lots of girls my height(and weigh near or less than my goal), posting on here that they are fat and need to lose weight. It makes me feel bad, so I am just wondering if I am insane for wanting to get down to just 145 and no less???

Ht. 5'7, Wt. 180 - Hello everyone. I am aiming to lose about 20 pounds before I turn 15,which is in March. I have very bad lung problems and have been on steroids my whole life. They have made me gain weight. But I can't exercise because of my lungs. I eat very healthy but cannot lose weight. Does anybody have any tips?

Ht. 5'6, Wt. 170 - Fad diets can suck. Only eating tuna or chicken for your life is ridiculously stupid. You have to eat a variety of foods not just one type. And five or Six meals a day is good because it speeds up your metabolism. VERY small portions though, you can't pig out five-six meals. Eating every three hours is good for your mid section, again the speeding metabolism and your stomach will be immune to digesting the food faster. -Like corn-flakes or something for breakfast and then three hours later like a peice of whole wheat bread with fried in (olive oil) veggies and then like after three more hours a bowl of fruit. In the midst of all this: WATER POWER! Cardio is awesome so do that as well...what really helps (I think) is CRAZY DANCING! lol like dance alone in your room with the door locked... In the midst of all this: WATER POWER! Cardio is awesome so do that as well...what really helps (I think) is CRAZY DANCING! lol like dance alone in your room with the door locked (what I do...) and just shake it allll offf, that's the best way. Every part of your body is in motion and calories are being burned every second. Rock out on a crazy song, it's fun and healthy so try it! Hmm what else? oh righto, make sure to check the scale. Don't be afraid of the number, you can't be afraid of the number...remember...YOU OWN THE NUMBER! It's under your power whether you want it to go up or down so you can't just frown and NOT look at what you weigh. I used to do that...but now the scale is like my teddy bear. Crazy cardio... walk A LOT even if its around your house and when you sit, don't lounge like a sloppy sock on the couch...keep your posture straight and sit up. "When you eat, eat slowly and chew all your food and savor every bit of it" (...From the book "Why French Women don't get fat") Don't avoid the mirror, Look at your reflection and tell it what to do! Push ups can be really difficult to do, because you have to be lifting up your whole body weight and face it, we aren't thinny Mc. Thinners so we have a lot to lift. What I do is ...a push up on the wall. I do 40 a day and it could burn a bit but it's SO easy and it really works! my arms have gotten so much thinner...the wall is great to do it on so just do it on the wall if the floor push ups are hard for you. These are the things that I usually do, plus 100 situps a day. I've lost 32 lbs so far. I'm very pleased with my self though I'm hoping to lose 45 more lbs to reach my goal weight of *125*. I hope all this advice helped!!! Good Luck and stay strong! :) (view less)

Ht. 5'2, Wt. 136ish - okay now i know a lot of you are DESPERATE to lose weight. trust me, i've been there. and i still am. BUT...this whole tuna diet is so stupid. sure, youre gonna lose weight. a chicken diet would work. a veggie diet would work. my mom even lost 15 pounds on a HIGH "healthy" carb diet. but. you lose the weight. and then what? are you honestly going to eat just tuna or chicken for the rest of your life? when you do this kind of diet, it messes your body up. youre not getting nutrients and fat from other foods like you SHOULD. so, when you go off the diet, or induldge even a little, your body makes up for what is lost, and automatically stores whatever you eat. you gain weight even faster than normal, which will THEN make your metabolism even slower. THERES A REASON why fad diet do not work. sure you can... (view more)Ht. 5'2, Wt. 136ish - okay now i know a lot of you are DESPERATE to lose weight. trust me, i've been there. and i still am.
