Hey all. I've been coming here every once in a while, but never posted, but I thought I would now. I started a diet routine today. I joined a gym and I'm eating healthy. My question is, how often and for how long should I go to the gym a week? I went today for about a half an hour(I know, probably not long enough) I lifted some weights and rode the bike thing(did 2.5 miles on that) Is that good? Anyone have any tips for me that I can use to improve and succeed on my diet? Thanks.

hey, everyone says that if u drink like 12 cups of water a day u loose a lot of weight. is that true? if so, how many calories do u burn?

ok i hate to bother u all but i wanna know if what i ate and what i am going to eat is good 4 a healthy weight loss. So, breakfast:wheat cerial, a little oj=160 cals (about) Snack: pickle, hot chocolate=110 cals Lunch:peanut butter and fluff=about 240 cals Snack: ranch wheat thins= about 150 cals Dinner: fish, veggies, potatoes= 500 cals. I added that up and it equals 1160 cals. I know i have to eat a little more to get past 1200 cals, so i will eat a lot of veggies and maybe have some fruit after. hey, im 14 and weigh like 160, and i have been trying really hard to loose weight but nothing seems to work, im trying to loose a lot of weight for this summer, i was wondering if anyone had any tips it would really help thanks a lot!

Hey! I was wondering what you guys do on the days you hang out with people? My friends all eat junk food when we hang out. I would not eat anything all day and save my calories up but then your metabolism slows down and stuff. And I don't have enough will power to resist eating the stuff. And I can tell like my best friends about the diet but what about when I hang out with other people? Or when I hang out with my guy friends -- I don't want the whole world to know I'm on a diet. I have 430 calories left today but thats not very much considering I have a friend coming over and if we get pizza, thats like 2 slices. I don't know what to do! Thanks in advance. *Ray*Ray*

I have just discovered this site because I feel I need help with my weight. In my health class today my whole class had to take a body-assessment test, which tells you you percentage of body fat and weight, and such things that deal with your weight. I also had to take my blood pressure in my health class. It was really embarrassing because the arm wrap wouldn't fit over my upper arm. I got realy upset and began to cry. It was really overwhelming to have that happen to you when your very aware that you are overweight in a class full of skinny people. It was hard for me to acknowledge my condition. So, now that i have realized I need help I was hoping posting here would help me out.

I am sooo happy!! So far I have lost 15lbs. I thought i would of gained weight but i haven't!! I went to a sleepover party and had icecream and 3 pieces of pizza, but when i weighed myself this moring it said that i lost 5 lbs!! i am soo happy. To EVERYBODY: GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!!!! YOU COULD DO IT!!!!!!!! My goal is to lose 10 more lbs by about the end of march (or maybe sooner) Do u think that it is possible????? thankz!! GOOD LUCK ~Jenn

ok, i dont know if i have lost any weight, cuz i promised myself i wouldnt weigh-in till Lent was over. BUT my skinny jeans which i finally fit into a few months ago are loose in the thighs, my worst area! yay, i hope its me and not the jeans! Ok, now i have a question, i work out HARD at basketball for an hour and half, twice a week, and then i do a series of exercises that takes bout half an hour to do, and do those on the day si dont have bball, ive cut out all soda, and only eat chocolate everyone in a while. How am i doing, will this help me reach my goal of 140 in a few months? (im 170 now)

Hey everyone!! My name is Jenn and I'm new to this website! Anyways I would really like to loose weight. I'm starting the south beach diet today, and it seems pretty easy. I was reading about it and you can loose 10 pounds in the first week if you are really devoted to it! Anyways Does anybody know some good exercises I can do? about the message i posted yesterday it was in a way suppose to help like when you do mess up you think okay that was going to happen sooner or later so it's okay and move on and then not become upset and go off the diet.
