Hi,I came to this site about 2 years ago when i was overweight but I didn't do anything because i started to get taller and sort of "thin out" but lately i've been noticing i don't feel healthy like i did before and i just found out i've put on about 20kg's since i last weighed myself a year ago,I know, scary isnt it!So i'm really serious about losing weight since its now or never, obviously I do have a few goals to motivate me, girls(lol) and acceptance by peers etc..Anyway, waht I wanted to ask was if I set a certin limit of calories per day, and just ate that amount would that make me lose weight? I'm a total newbie to putting together a weight loss plan but say if i set a target of like maybe 1200 calories and just ate that and excercized, drank heaps of water etc, would that guarantee weight loss or do i have to worry about other things than calories, carbs and fats n stuffAnyway, thanks for listening to me and I see this board is alot like it was 2 years ago, lots of teens helping eachother reach for the same goal.Thanx!

Hi umm well i was always a Fat kid and i lost the weight last year and then i got pregnant and my baby was 9lb11ounces and i worry she will be fat for her life too and i also wanted a diet for myself to loose the baby weight!! waht though should i do for my daughter! i want her to be healthy!????

hey everyone, im very proud of myself, im sorry if you dont care but its 4:00 here now and so far today ive had: Breakfast:1 pc. of whole healthy wheat toast and spray 0 calorie butter. Snack:1 apple Lunch:1 pc. skinless chicken and a fruit salad(blueberries,raspberries,watermelon,apple and cherries) and i have chewd a little bit of sugar free gum insted of cookies!

Hey all, I dont recall who it was that put up the post about her family having the weight loss contest and the prize of $300 but anyway....I told my mother and sister about it and we are starting our own competition TODAY and it ends AUGUST 20, the day before our vacation...anyway just wanna say thanx to whoever that was...it's a great idea and i know it will keep out competion "hot"...lol...i would like to lose 15-20 by that time...hopefully i can accomplish my goal...does any1 have any good ideas...please respond As Soon As Possible...just to let you know I am already running 3 miles a day...and i dont have an overeating problem so i dont think counting calories is a big thing for me (and i dont eat much)....I just want my body back...lol and to be ready for vacation cuz it sure isnt at this time...thanx =)

Hey, all you have to do is eat healthy. You don't have to go on some crazy diet. You basicly just stay away from fried, fatty, and junk food. REMEMBER THAT. And you should exersize as much as possible. Dosen't matter what you do as long as you are playing, dancing, running, playing a sport, ect. Some things that could help you eat less are........1. If you want, on your fridge, you can put a picture of the person that you want to have a body like. So when you think about pigging out, you can look at them and say to yourself "If I want to have a body like theirs, I need to stay away from that junkfood"2. You can chew sugar free gum whenever you have a craving for junk food3. drink a lot of water b-4 meals so you won't be as hungry so you won't eat as much4. drink a lot of water anytime, anyplace5. cut your meals in half and save the rest for laterThats pretty much all that I can think of. lisa isnt doin 2 much exercise she has just put down everything she does which burns cals and aint exercise. like tlkin on the and having a shower. and then wen she adds the execise shes burning like 1500 cals more. we all burn calories, to get my body weight the same i need 2 eat something like 3100 calories. go 2 www.hangbag.com and then health and its under fitness calculators

I need help.and i need someone who actually knows the answer not just guessing......i got a membership to a gym, and im going everyday for the next month..should i do aerobics and weights everyday or plan it out where i do aerobics one day and weights the next

I am on a 1,200 calorie diet and ride my bike 2 miles, swim for about an hour and do a 30 minute exercise video each day. I really need to shape up fast and I am eating healthy foods. The only thing is I heard that if you only have 1,200 calories AND exericse that you should eat more. The thing is I really don't want to eat more, do I have to? please help...thanks!

OK PEOPLE a little dose of reality. We are board,or depressed, or whatever and so we eat. Then we get fatter. when we get fatter we feel more depressed so we eat more. We then get even fatter! It is a circle that most of us have, and most of us will and most of us can GET OUT OFF. I for one am tired of being a statisic in some scientific study about the percentage of currantly obese and overweight teens!! Everyone, I KNOW that you can DO this if you try!! Remember, depression is not the answer and gets us nowhere!! Will-power and strength provide us with the grounds for acheviment!!! Lets show those statistics whose boss!!! WE SHALL OVERCOME!!! PEACE, LOVE YA ALL!!!

I went to the gym yesturday and walked on the treadmill for a/b 50 minutes. I hope I can do more whenever I go back.
