Ht. 5'6", Start: 175 lb, Today: 175 lb (BMI %tile: 92), Goal: 145 lb - Hey everyone I'm new here. Im starting this year off trying to lose weight. Anyone have any ideas. My ex is coming home from iraq and were planning on getting back together when he gets home and i want to surprise him in how much ive changes. He comes home in Feburary I know I cannot be at my weight goal but I want to lose at least 20lbs by then do you guys have any ideas?? Please and Thank You.

I figure now is where I start my uphill journey and soon it will start getting easier rather than harder... just think the more work you put into it the more you get out of it... am I seriously the only one in the chat? was it cancelled? lol alright hope all is well

Ht. 5'8", Start: 237 lb, Today: 235 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 150 lb - hey everyone so its the last day of 08 and oh man what a sturggle this year has been esp with food college life is horriable with food...all that junk and no time to really cook a meal and just eating basically whatever is cheap and near by i never ate so much outside food in my life and my weight shows it...this is the biggest i have ever been
and ive pretty much became really depressed about it
so no more excuses im gonna exercise EVERDAY no more being lazy i want to be at my goal weight this time next year
any advice?

I actually realized most of my problem is I eat all the time.. I dont even notice it.. I just picked up a chocolate coved pretzel last night was was starting to put it in my mouth before I even realized it! so my goal for the next month is to only eat when I am hungry or well my 3 meals a day.. you know just not start picking up stuff cause its convinent... hopefully I'll start shedding soon!!! Hope everyone is doing well!!

Ht. 5'11", Start: 226 lb, Today: 195 lb (BMI %tile: 88), Goal: 175 lb - I've been working on losing weight for some time now; however, I have a hard time with food. I exercise daily a ton bt have a dificult time with portions and saying no to junk food, chocolate in particular. I've decided though that this will be the year I finally take control of my weight. This has gone on long enough. I remember last year being a size 16 and 226 lbs and feeling it'd be impossible to reach a 10, well, I'm at a ten now and its not impossible. I want to lose more and hopefully be an 8 or tight 6-which an 8 is probably possible in 20 lbs. I remember posting on the board helped a ton and now that there's a pseudo adult version...sky's the limit. I aim to lose this weight by the end of May, which is 4 lbs a month and totally doable.

I used to come on here when I was younger and now I've gotten out of control with my weight.. its not really around any areas that is getting to me but I'm starting to get fat around my neck? I dont know why it seems to stick to my neck but.. ugh.. I hope to lose 46 pounds so I can get into the police acad. this coming winter.. wish me luck...

Now, it's after the holidays, and i've put 20 back on, which completely ruined my motivation haha. anyway, what does anyone know about acai supplements or green tea pills? do they honestly work? with added exercise and better eating? thanks!

I've had my weight go up and down in the past, but now all my family members are pointing out my weight. I didnt think I was really that big. But still I think I need to loss weight. Im having a hard time pointing myself to the gym or to the right foods. I have a gym at my complex and it seems to have everything I need. Ive decided to start my diet this coming week.
