Hey! As you can see my name is Alexa, I am 13 and I am in 8th grade...I weigh about 170 lbs right now. I am on my school cheerleading team and I LOVE to dance...(I just started performing this year in my school cheerleading...so I have never taken dance class really before) Now that you know that...the problem is at the high school I am going to there is a dance team...and I REALLY want to be in it...the problem is my weight...I know I am skilled enought to do some of their moves and it will be easy to learn them...the only thing is I know I need to get fit...cause everyone else on the team is...Does anyone know how I could lose weight fast? The try-outs are in April wich gives me almost a month...I do have a large need of food. So is there any like healthier food I could eat a lot of? Are there any CHEAP diets? Any tips without jogging like 500 miles a day and doing like 1000 crunches? I may join Curves to...does anyone know any info on that? Please I need answers fast...I need a hero! Im 15 and new to this site so here i go. I have always been active, and always in near perfect shape. I had cut legs from playing soccer all my life. I truly love soccer and even though i hate running, i have always gotton thru it. i have played recreational (through the city), on a select tournament team, 6v6 (off season soccer) and highschool soccer.. Last year, i tried out for the highschool team as an 8th grader and made JV. I was so pumped! then, in one of my games i partially tore my acheilles tendan (the tendan running along the back of your ankle). It was devestating to me, having to be stuck to a pair of crutches and a big boot on my right foot. I went through several months of physicaL therapy and was finally released to sports again. Finally, the week before two-a-days (try outs), our school hired a coach that had experience with the U-19 usa team to put on a clinic for us. During the clinic, i fell on my left wrist, messing up tendans in it. I was pu in a sling and partial cast. Regardless, i began two-a-days the next week. Unfortunately, i ended up having to take the season off, because i hadnt given my body any rest for the past 4 years,as i had been playing year-round. Its been 7 months and im in the worst shape i have ever been in. I have lost alot of my muscular definition, and running capabilities. I am really trying to trim down the extra 30 lbs i have acquired. I have never been so self conscious and i am really having a hard time losing weight and regaining muscle. about how much weight can i lose in 3 months? i am 5'6" and 144 pounds. My goal weight is about 125-130 pounds. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

i am so sick of this battle... i started coming to this board over the summer i think.... like last spring... i weighed 185ish then... yea i weigh 203 now.... its so hard at school mainly.... i always end up buying lunch and buying foods that arent good for me but its just so hard.... and seriously the past 3 times ive said ok im gonna go back to the gym, ive gotten bronchituss.... its weird but its true.... i have it now and as soon as im healthy enough im goin back to the gym..... ive tried hard in the past but then i just eat badly and gain weight... all i have is a bunch of false promises to myself.... i rejoined weight watchers at like 202... lost a little, stayed the same, gained like .6 then i went away and now ive missed 3 weeks.... and ive gained... im a pound heavier then when i joined.... it just sucks because this is so hard.... i need some serious advice on like 3 things- what to bring for school lunch, some good exercises i can do at the YMCA, and just all around support.... if anyone is interested in emailing each other for support let me know....

OK....my name is Amanda and im 14... im 5'7(1/2)" and i weigh 240 pounds.... its alot.... but when i try to lose weight..... first i tried not eating... doesnt work... and right now im not eating lunch but it feeels like im eating mroe becuase when i come home from school im really hugnry so i have like a whole meal and an hour later i have dinner... i also eat right before bed.... its weird its like whenever im bored i eat.... does anyone have any suggestions how they did it...thankz....[.x-Amanda-x.]

Ok my friend gave me a VERY GOOD tip that will really help you guys out, She says that if you go and set up a goal for yourself for every 1 or 2 weeks of a weight loss ex. for the next 2 weeks, I should lose like 5 pounds, then you congradulate yourself with like a free day to relax, and NOT EAT JUNK FOOD and you do that like 8 times you should be at those BIG goal weights that people want to do like lose 50 pounds, that should really work and try to challenge yourself like if you dont make your goal by the end of the 2 weeks then you cant go to the movies or hang out with your friends on that weekend. Make it something that you have to do, trust me, THIS WILL WORK!!! Glad to help, anytime (I think that my friend made this information from the Vh1 telivision show, Celeberty Fit Club, does anyone watch it? )
